It appears they are closed? Drove by during open hours. No sign of life, no open sign. Call number on website twice. Nothing. Hope they're open but i wasn't able to visit on my first try while in the area.

Great place to taste Czech heritage.

Store was closed, despite Google listing saying they were open until 5pm on Mondays. Lots of mail in the door when we arrived. The bakery seemed to be out of business.

I was really disappointed in the bakery items in this old Czech bakery. The kolaches were not appetizing to look at and very different then any I have had before. Instead of soft and bread like, they were flat and tasteless with a lot of fruit filling.

They are currently only serving pastries. No lunch/dinner menu. The pastries looked good, but we wanted a meal. Bummer.

Wonderful bakery with pastry that is not too sweet! I love the poppy seed flavor

I heard great things but they closed so could not experience it. I've heard they have new owner, so who knows!?!
This business takes advantage of out of towners. They didn't have any prices on their items and charged us over $20 for a few dried out pastries and brownies. Their brownies tasted liked it was made out of a box. L

Spent the day exploring Cedar Rapids and wanted to have a kolache on the way home. I grew up eating kolaches and bake them myself and these were the worst baked goods I have ever eaten. They were dry, stale and had no filling. The filling that was in there was dried out. I'm a little afraid of how long they had been in the case. I get it, kolaches are labor-intensive, but a bakery should have fresh goods. There has got to be a better place in Cedar Rapids to get kolaches.

Rustic traditional Czech bakery in the heart of the Czech village. I love the vintage elements that have been preserved in this no frills shop. There were plenty of options for seating or you can stroll the village shops with your pastry. I grabbed a lemon kolache - the pastry was soft and light with the perfect amount of lemon curd. And the price was unbeatable at $2 and some change. They were not busy when I arrived and the staff were polite & conversational.

Dirty and food is not fresh; very disappointing. We got the mushroom savory tart and could barely eat it, it was freezer burnt and then warmed in the microwave. The bakery itself is fairly dirty too, even the cash register is stained with food.
It's close ????
This Place is closed now--out of business.
