I always get the cheese curds with ranch when I’m here and they are SO good. Even when I’m flying into CID I stop for them. I’ve never had an issue with service, cleanliness, or speed of food readiness.

Had no high expectations but perfect in every way. The grilled chicken quesadilla was made like the person in the restaurant really cared about us liking it, and we did! Delectable chicken, corn, beans and salsa, and served with salsa, guac, and sour creamvon the side. Super quick service, although lots of people were flying out the Sunday after a Hawkeye game. Got to watch a bit of the NFL game on overhead TV. Perfect.

Only game in town and they know it. No prices on any of the alcohol options for a reason. $9 for a Busch light tallboy is the cheapest option, not the best place for value....

The burgers were extremely well done! I ordered a chicken sandwich with cheese and bacon, no bun. It was just slices of dry chicken, and about 1 piece of bacon. Portions were small but the price is high! Not worth it at all!

Perfect airport bar! Super friendly staff, drinks were great, & they keep them coming. Didn’t order food, but since I sat at the bar I saw everything as it came out & every dish looked good. Down to the grill cheese! Highly recommend!
The food was good but the waitress decided to charge me a little extra for herself. I still tipped her but not as good as I would have. So if you eat here please look at your reciept.

Wanted to grab a quick coke before my flight to Dallas. I waited to be seated and noticed 5 people behind the bar and no one at the hostess stand. When she finally showed up, she told me the place was closed. Hours on website showed 5 pm…it was approximately 4:15. I walked about 100 feet and took a call. 2 minutes later I looked back and saw she was seating the guy behind me in security. Thanks for the Iowa Hospitality. I recommend bypassing this place and going to the Iowa Mule. Much better service as shown by the crowd.

My business travel regularly takes me through Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, and I have found The High Porch worth getting to the airport early so I can get a good meal before my flight.I like their option of using a QR code immediately upon arrival to order your food, which accelerates the entire process. I am very impressed with the service and the kind, interactive staff. I have had Abigail as my server multiple times and she is friendly, responsive, and a positive representative of the restaurant and airport. They have GREAT fries!!!! Yeah, I know, not the healthiest option, but I love them! I prefer their Bacon Burger and their Chicken Sandwiches. Tasty and served perfectly.

I had a great experience here during a 4 hour layover. Meghan was an excellent server. Very attentive and SO friendly, no matter how busy it got. I had the chicken club sandwich with fries and it did not disappoint. Would come back again.
