First time there. Cool little place. We are older people and prefer low tables and booths. They had no booths available so we did set at a table for five. They have a lot of high tables with high chairs. No seating at the bar, but that's okay with us. Very good hamburgers. The fries were good and the beer battered onion rings were fabulous. Wait staff is friendly and quick to get you going. Thank you for a great first experience Tornados.

I went for the first time ever in August with a large group and my family. We had just buried my grandma and my Moms friends planned it. We waited 20 minutes for drinks. I had spent the morning sobbing over losing my 2nd mom. I was starving and just wanted drinks and food. We left, I told him not to worry about the drinks, hugged all my family then cried in the bathroom at the next restaurant before eating. So I cannot say if anything was really good food wise honestly.

I finally made it to Tornados Grub & Pub in The District: Czech Village & New Bohemia.
I have heard only good things about their cuisine, and I am happy to say that the hype is justified!
Louise ordered the F3-Blue, swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms, blue cheese dressing, and blue cheese crumbles. She also picked the option of choosing a ¼ pound patty for $2 less.
I want to applaud the mgmt for creating this option! Regular readers will know that I am concerned with the trend of increasingly massive sandwiches, so the option of a 4 ounce serving is very welcome and hopefully adopted by others!
Louise absolutely loved it, although, even with the smaller patty, she struggled to finish this extremely rich burger.
The beef had a wonderful flavor and was cooked perfectly, so much so that her next burger (and there will def be a next!) will be a more plain preparation, to allow the flavor of the patty to shine.
The side of choice was sweet potato fries (a $1.50 upcharge), and they were scrumptious, worthy of snacking on all by themselves.
My choice was, of course, a tenderloin😋 As is my custom I ordered it with cheese and grilled onions.
It is on the thinner end of the spectrum. I usually enjoy a slightly thicker, more juicy 'loin, but had absolutely no complaints about this one due to it's exceptionally tasty breading!
The breading is like nothing I have tasted before! Packed with flavor, a savory, slightly salty, spicy profile that I found totally mouthwatering. If you enjoy the tenderloin, particularly if you specialize in this regional treasure, you MUST try this sandwich! It will reset your expectations for flavorful breading.
My side was a generous order of peppered crinkle-cut fries, crispy and tasty, but I will admit to neglecting them to focus on the sandwich.
I took my time, savoring every bite, and managed to finish the sammie... barely.
Our visit was a vindication of the thousands of positive posts, reactions, and comments I have seen on various foodie and shop local pages.
I can highly recommend this well-known eatery, I most certainly will be back to sample more of their excellent cuisine!

Best Hamburger in the area. Service is fast and accurate when ordering. I ordered the 1/4 Lb. F4 with Potato Salad. Really good Potato Salad too!!! Great atmosphere. Plenty of parking, (very large,new, parking lot). Highly recommend. Will definitely be back whenever I’m in-town.
Tornado's delivers on every criterion. The entire staff are warm and welcoming. They create an atmosphere that's welcoming as if you're a regular. Naturally with a general vibe of having a good time and some good food, the service is attentive and prompt. Most vitally, the food is excellent. They specialize in high quality burgers hand pattied every morning. They offer a nice variety of pub cuisine that are next level based on the quality of the ingredients. I highly recommend Tornado's.
