Went to try VIP on fathers day. Upon entering, hostess walked up to us and said "15 minutes". No welcome, hello, or smile - just an angry "15 minutes". We sat down and noticed the place was half full at best. Nobody in the place looked happy. We left and went to competitor on Council Street and had a great experience. Will not be going back to VIP.

I have eaten lunch and dinner several times at VIP sushi. The restaurant is new. Very clean inside. Spacious dining room which has little atmosphere to it. The furnishings are pretty basic and cheap. Does not have much of an Asian or sushi vibe to the place. Service is friendly and relatively quick. The price is pretty steep for lunch ($15.99) and does not include a beverage. The taste and quality of the items was okay...not great but not bad either. The all you can eat dinner menu charges you more $$ ($24.99) but has very few additional items beyond the lunch menu and is not a bargain at all, IMO. If you are a real big eater you may find VIP Sushi to be a bargain, but lesser eaters can fill up on quality sushi elsewhere for less money.

There were so many options to order! And they're all delicious. Kids under three eat free. Then 3+ get charged $1 per year. We thought that was very fair!
