I love WaWa. The food here is great. My favorite is jerk pasta and jerk chicken. The soup was very good. The sauce is fire fire. Plenty of food, about 3 people can eat off 1 plate. Excellent customer service. Never disappoint.

This was the best meal I have had in Iowa since moving here 20 years ago. I had the Goat Fried meal with Rice and Planatins. Their rice and lima beans with the sauce it comes with is going to create cravings for their food for years to come for me. the meat was done perfectly and the Jamaican Ginger Beer was delicious. The owner was so sweet and welcoming. I can't say enough great things about this place!

Fantastic food and super friendly service, highly recommend the jerk chicken, as good as you'll get in Jamaica

Ordered the pasta and jerk chicken and boy was I surprised! It was a quarter of a chicken and a more than generous serving of cheese pasta. The jerk chicken flaked off the bones with just a fork and practically melted in my mouth. It had just the right amount spice... hot but not too spicy. The pasta was seasoned and made with a lot of creamy cheese. Perfect pairing with the jerk chicken. The owner was friendly and service was quick.
Fantastic food. Jerk chicken had a little kick but was fall off the bone. Will definitely stop back again and try some of the other items on the menu. Pasta was some of the best I've had.

Get the turkey stew and rice with a pineapple ginger beer, you will not be disappointed I’m from Florida and I’d never think there’d be Haitian food in Iowa so

The ambience isn't much - but the warm welcome and flavorful food more than make up for this hidden gem. I would go every week if I lived locally. Such a treat to taste the islands in IOWA! Family owned and operated - the island flavor, sound and love are felt in every part of this restaurant. Some might say - WAWA

All I have to say is WOW. I normally have multiple pictures when I make a review but we were so hungry when we picked it up and the food was so good we didn't stop and think to document it. We got the oxtail stew and chicken jerk meals. Neither my wife nor myself have ever been to the Caribbean so we can't speak about how authentic it is, but we can say how flavorful our food was. The oxtail was tender and full of amazing beef flavor that you get with oxtail. The stew was delicious. The jerk chicken was grilled PERFECTLY, tender, juicy, and delicious smoky flavor from the grill and the jerk spice. Each meal also came with 2 fried plantains which themselves didn't have much flavor, not sure if they normally do or not, but they were perfect vessels to soak up the stew and jerk sauce. Each meal came with a healthy amount of rice that was perfectly cooked and flavorful. We can't wait to go back again and try out the rest of the menu. Feel like this is a hidden gem in Cedar Rapids and more people should discover it. Absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back.
