Voted best dive bar 2012 by the LA Weekly. The Frolic Room has been around since Prohibition ended and continues to offer a paradoxically classy dive-bar ambiance. Bartenders aren't over-tattooed out-of-work actors but suited gentlemen who will remember your favorite spirits every time you step in. The walls feature caricatures of Groucho Marx and Albert Einstein, two people who almost certainly never drank here but whose images provide a kitschy, old-school charm.

Excellent food! Service is working out the kinks. Went twice in one week for dinner. Beer cheese soup is to die for! Steaks are flavorful and cooked just how one orders them! Service could use a little work - there seemed to be almost as many employees in the building as customers both times we visited and service was pretty slow. We sat for twenty minutes at the bar without even being acknowledged.
