If you close to highway 30 and you're coming this way to stop by the double cheeseburger with bacon is the best I've had in the last 20 years hands down blows Southern local joints out of the water
Great small town tavern with cold beer, pool tables and delicious bar food. Burgers were top class, as were the various fried appetisers.
We go here quite often. Good food and drinks at a fair price. Always have a good time.

Silver Dollar Tavern offers excellent food with quick service in a nice bar and restaurant setting. The historical pictures on the walls add to the local flavor of this perfect roadhouse bar. While some dishes like the chicken sandwiches were slightly overcooked, the appetizers like cauliflower and onion rings poppers were really good. The friendly staff accommodated a party of 7 with great service, serving delicious meals like bacon cheeseburgers with fried mushrooms and a variety of tasty sides like mozzarella sticks and fried clam strips. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a fun joint to visit for a meal.
