Maybe it’s because I’m from the south but there was absolutely no hospitality. The food was disgusting . I wouldn’t recommend this place to a stray dog ! I didn’t even know there were Mexicans in Iowa maybe these are fake Mexicans cause the ones in Mississippi and Texas cook way better and are much more nicer especially when I’m spending my money

El loros clear lake ia, 29 degrees when we went in, it was freezing inside the restaurant, we we're greeted by a young woman wearing a winter coat, I asked if they had heat on, she didn't understand and couldn't speak english. Then I noticed another table still wearing their coats, the table behind us went and got their coats from their vehicle. One of the lady customers went to the bathroom and came out saying how freezing the toilet seat was! Food was good,but service from the young woman still with her coat on,was very poor. Had to point at the menu to show her what we wanted. She never came back to the table after we got our meals.Had to ask someone else for a to go container and our bill. When we left, a young couple with a small baby was going in, we told them it was freezing inside,they left and went to Perkins! Needless to say we won't be back during winter!

I don't know the guy server name? But the wife and I went there today around 1, and it was us and a two other guys in the back table. We got served our drinks and chips, then he came back to take our order. Later we got our meal, and when we needed a refill on our pop, he was busy sitting with the two guys talking with his back to us. At the end of our meal we was waiting for him to quit talking to the two guys again to get our check. It's not the first time he's either talking to friends there or on his phone talking while taking orders from customers. He kinda sucks at his job, and needs training on customer service!! Thanks

I went there for lunch, there was only one other table with customers. I stood at the door for several minutes waiting to be seated. I finally sat myself down. The waitress was less than polite, she was abrasive and acted like I was an annoyance. I ordered chicken fajitas and the chicken was rubbery and it was a very small portion size for the 20.00 I paid. I will not go back.

Easily the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Steak and chicken in my fajita completely dry and literally doesn't have any seasoning. Tomatoes soggy and sour, peppers and onions not sautéed, just thrown raw on the plate with the meat.
Staff nice enough and place is clean and inviting, but come just for a margarita and get your dinner somewhere else
We arrived at 7:15 pm on a Thursday night....there was only 4 tables with 2 people at each table....NOT busy at all.....my husband got a beer and I got water....we placed our order and a family of 6 came and sat down....another 2 men came in and sat in the booth next to us.....by 8pm the family of 6 AND the other 2 men ALL had their food......we still had NOTHING.....Every time the waitress walked by us she ignored us....My husband even pointed at his empty beer bottle and asked to get another one.....she nodded and then never brought him one....After everyone around us had their food, I asked if we could have ours.....She said yes it's almost ready......FINALLY at 8:10 she brought MY order....which was not even what I ordered.....I sent it back.....we waited another 10 minutes and my husband's food nor mine ever came.....After almost an hour and 1/2 we just walked out..... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

I’m in here just about weekly and almost always have Cesar as a server. He’s very kind and always professional. The fact he knows my margarita order by heart is an added bonus! Nora is also great! Love coming here and have never had a bad experience.
