This was our first time in Clear Lake. What a treat!! We knew this restaurant was THE spot for us. Lindsey was spectacular as well as the rest of the staff. So friendly and accommodating, great wine and menu suggestions. The escargot was superb! Our steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare is our preference). We took our dessert to go - wow! We arrived in Clear Lake last night, Saturday, a few minutes before closing and were graciously welcomed by David, the master chef, and his son, Sam, for a fantastic dinner. We had an aged Cab and then crab cakes for an appetizer with stuffed ravioli and filet mignon as entrees. Steph served everything with class and charm. Atmosphere inside was charming; unfortunately, it was too chilly to eat outside on the fenced patio. Highly recommend Surf Side and we will be back!
We were visiting Clear Lake for a concert and enjoyed an outstanding dinner experience. Stefanie and Sam greeted us warmly when we arrived and seated us with a window view. The French onion soup, salad, and focaccia bread were excellent. The dining area has a European feel with Strasbourg murals adorning the walls. This is a charming location on a quiet street in the shadow of The Surf Ballroom. We look forward to trying out the patio seating when the weather’s warmer.
