Today was the first and last time in my life I ever tried ordering food from Wendy's. I tried to order a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger from the drive through. The worker replied bach with laughter as he said they are currently out of small burger meat. I had a feeling it was going to be a nasty reply for some reason. Should've trusted my gut. No wonder the parking lot is always empty at this particular Wendy's.

We stopped at this Wendy's again as it was requested by our son. After the last experience being 6 years ago (see below) I hoped it had improved. To our pleasant surprise it has improved greatly. The building has been updated and is very spacious. The ordering had kiosk option or counter and the staff was friendly. A complete 180 from before. The food was tasty and warm. The fries at Wendy's are my preferred fast food option. Very glad we stopped here and gave it another shot. Thank you for the pleasant road trip meal.
Stood at the front counter for a few minutes and no one even acknowledged us. No eye contact or "we'll be with you soon". Even walking to the frosty machine they did nothing. Worst service my wife or I have gotten at a fast food restaurant. Culver's is just 200 feet to the east and that would be my suggestion for quick food in Clear Lake.

Good place to stop if you like Wendy's menu and got in on the current $5 meal deal. The only complaint was it was ridiculous freezing cold inside.
