About 9 years ago, I loved 515. The problem is that they haven't changed with the times. Every time I look at their tap list, it's the same beer. They need to shake things up.
Always worth a visit during slow hours. Great quiet atmosphere, good music, and there's always something interesting on the board. Perfect for the introvert who isn't into crowds. The Puppy Jake is my all-time favorite.
The beer at 515 is second to none in Des Moines. If they had a better location and some food options I would give it 5 stars. Although, I would say they are at least trying to get some food carts every now and again so it's worth the stop to have a delicious pint.
