“Always love Monterrey. We are a family of vegetarians and they always accommodate any needs we have and have a great vegetarian menu!They are always super quick with making our order (we always order takeout/pickup). The restaurant is always busy, but always looks very clean. Food is always hot and they are super consistent with taste/quality.Great bang for your buck. For 3 adults getting 3 vegetarian entrees and chips/salsa it's $35 and we tip $5 to whoever put in / made our order for us.. Pretty hard to come across any restaurant, fast food or not where you can get such large portions and feed 3 adults for under $40!”

“We went for brunch for the first time, and it was fabulous! The servers are friendly and helpful in recommending dishes and accommodating to taste preferences. The food was incredible. We shared the mushroom toast, and as someone who is usually neutral for mushrooms, I went back for seconds. The breakfast sandwich was a great mix of sweet and savory. The little hash brown on the side was probably the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was a little loud, so may be difficult for older individuals to hear conversation. I even struggled a little with this. But I would highly recommend overall!”

“Great food, great sake, great service. I was only in town for a few days, but Mandarin Grill was good enough that I ordered twice (once as dine in, once to go). My server (I'm forgetting her name, maybe Rebecca?) was friendly, knowledgeable, and chatty. She made sure I knew exactly what I was getting, and that I was happy with everything. The miso soup was delicious, and I really liked the yushang eggplant as well. My only very minor complaint is that the egg roll was greasy. The taste and texture were very good, but it was almost like it didn't get drained after being pulled from the fryer. Aside from that, everything was terrific. I look forward to visiting again next time I'm in Des Moines.”

“My girlfriend and I had the amazing opportunity at eating at El burrito loco tonight and we are by far incredibly impressed with not only the quality of food but also the quality of the service. They have by far the best horchata in the Des Moines area, they also provide this other that's made out of hibiscus flower it's incredibly delicious. As far as meals go I had their signature El burrito loco which is by far the best burrito I've had in the morning. My girlfriend on the other hand has one of each their tacos that they offer and was incredibly impressed with each taco particularly the carnitas. I most certainly know where I'm going when I'm craving burritos. Unfortunately I could not provide photos because I was too busy devouring this burrito ??”

“My family of 4 came here on a Friday night for dinner, it was our first time and it was very busy which is always a good sign. We were added to the waitlist and it was only about 15 minute wait til we were seated. Our server was amazing. She was on top of our refills. The margaritas are excellent, and the salsas and beans that come with the chips are by far the best we’ve had. Our food came out all at once and was fresh and delicious. We will be back!
