“Quite possibly the best bbq on the planet!! They had lots of gluten free choices.. all meat and sauces are gluten free. Although they served the food with 4 huge slices of bread which seems unnecessary and is totally cross contamination. The brisket was melt in your mouth amazing! The garlic Parmesan potatoes were very delicious!”

“Fresh Mediterranean Express has a very nice, welcoming interior, which made our visit pleasant. We weren’t sure what to order, so we tried a pita. Having spent time in Greece, we’ve had some unforgettable Mediterranean food, and while this was good, it didn’t quite have that magic—the pita was plain and lacked warmth or seasoning.

The homemade hummus was tasty, my son loved the ginger lemonade, and the steak gyro was decent. Overall, a friendly place with potential, and we may give it another chance in the future. ⭐”

I recently also had them cater a Saturday lunch at work for us and they knocked it out of the park! Eddie is a phenomenal asset to this restaurant. Always friendly and helpful. “Just popped into The Coffeesmith to try it out for the first time - I immediately had to run and leave a review bc it’s just that good! I tried the summer seasonal smores latte, I am a smores latte connoisseur, and this one was amazing!! But what really had me running to leave a stellar review? The almond patty pastry. Only one bite into it and I’ve determined it’s going to be something I crave way too often. Growing up in Eastern Iowa as a bohemie, iykyk, I frequently visited Jaarsma’s and know my way around almond pastries of all kinds. The Coffesmith’s almond patty rivals all others! You have to have it! 🤩🥐”

“Went to 5 Borough Bakery today for the first time. My husband and I went 2 hours and 45 min after opening (10:45 am) on a Saturday. Their temporary hours state they're open until 2pm, so still another 3+ hours to go. Unfortunately, they had just 6 options to choose from and said that's all they had left for the day. We chose to go with Cinnamon rolls - they've been so highly regarded, we were looking forward to trying them for ourselves. Individuals were $5, or a 6-pack was $20 (but each roll was quite a bit smaller than what is provided in the individuals). We chose the 6-pack. Once we got home, the cinnamon rolls were very dense, not fluffy, some spots were hard while others were doughy, and frosting had little flavor - a whipped butter frosting (which tasted like there wasn't any vanilla in it, very bland), instead a cream cheese or other flavorful frosting. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with the cinnamon rolls after hearing so much hype about them. This plus the lack of selection and pricing have us hesitant on giving this place another shot.”

“5 stars for service! Atmosphere was nice. Food was good and portion size were good. Mojito, not so much. Did not taste authentic. For entrée I had the steak fajita quesidea. The flour tortillas had a perfect crisp to them. I wish, wish, wish the steak and veggies had a char/grill taste. Fiancé had the chicken fajita. She said it was good. Overall, the entrees were good. Will definitely go back and I do recommend this place if you're craving Mexican food.”

“The owner is an absolute saint, he is so nice and a great human being! However, the bartender Megan Hampton is honestly the worst human being I’ve ever met in my life. She was rude to me the second I walked into the bar, then she screamed at me, I went to another bar, and the bartender said Megan did the exact same thing to her and her boyfriend. She openly talks about using cocaine and other inappropriate talk around the bar. She is single-handedly ruining the reputation and good name of Poncho. If you don’t believe me, sit at the bar when Megan is working and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.”

“Blue Agave, the Mexican restaurant, truly deserves a five-star rating. From the exquisite food to the captivating decor, including stunning mural art, every detail contributes to an amazing atmosphere. The lively music invites you to dance, while their flavorful margaritas are anything but watered down—unlike many other places. The food and service were exceptional, and I was particularly impressed by the presentation of the churro and ice cream that my friend requested, even though it wasn’t on the menu. It was remarkable. You really need to experience it for yourself. Everything about the place was beautiful, from the clean bathrooms to the incredible theme that permeates every corner, even down to the to-go cups. Blue Agave is not only awesome but also incredibly fun. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience and highly recommend that you visit. “Visited this Caribou on Sunday May 1st. We like the coffee here. Ordered a large Northern Latte with almond milk and sugar free caramel. Waited for 20 minutes to be handed an iced Latte and a little longer to be handed a medium instead of a large and couldn't wait any longer so we drove away with a wrong size coffee.”

I even noticed this evening, they have these really neat table side holders for people that have a baby seat or something similar. It was really cool and convenient for the young parents. “Buffalo Wild Wings GO did not disappoint! It was our first time ordering through the BWW app & it was super easy. The food was ready in 20 min and the order was perfect. The wings were tender and had a LOT of sauce. Condiments and plastic silverware were in the bag just as we requested & The employees were super kind and efficient. We will definitely be ordering again! They also have tables inside where you can sit!”

“Took my 15 month old to have breakfast and check out the play area. They have 4-10 area and an under 4 play area. My little guy loved being able to climb around the toddler area and try out the slide. He was able to take a couple of tumbles without actually getting hurt as the area has padded flooring. We will definitely be back!”

“Los Tres Amigos in Waukee is hands-down one of my favorite local Mexican spots. The atmosphere is always buzzing with energy, and the staff makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. The chips and salsa come out fast (and warm!), and the margaritas? Absolutely on point - especially the mango one! I ordered the carne asada tacos this time, and they were bursting with flavor and grilled to perfection. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and everything tastes freshly made. Whether it's a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends, Los Tres Amigos always delivers. Highly recommend if you're in the Waukee area!”

“Pretty good. I don't know how, but they have managed to make a quarter pound of beef seem like an eighth. LOL. I have never seen a thinner patty in my life.

Yet, the taste is there. Combo meal with fries and added a turtle sundae. Total was $14.50 or so. They make a good sandwich.

Pop machine was out of ice and ketchup container was empty. No problem. Staff addressed both when they were told.

Clean space and everyone was wearing a smile. Culvers seems to be good at finding those staff that will smile!”

“This looks like a regular restaurant and more expensive than DQ from the outside, but was surprisingly inexpensive with meals (burger, fries, drink) ranging from packages that are $6+. The food is very similar to DQ, as well as the shakes similar to DQ blizzards, but the prices are to similar to Burger King's coupon deals and the environment like a retro 1960's restaurant. Super surprised at the great prices! Photos shown are just like the actual food.”

I went yesterday- staff wasn’t as chipper as the ones 2 weeks before, but by the time I left, she seemed a bit friendlier.
The customer service is just as important as the food.
I’ve never tried the Auntie Ann’s at this location, but it sure smells good!
I pray this location never closes because the one in Altoona is NOT fresh. The one in Jordan Creek Mall is never open.”

I came here for the first time on 01/16/26, and was greeted right away by Ashanti, and ordered a beer while waiting for my pizza to get done (I ordered right when I entered the restaurant, FYI). It was a very pleasant atmosphere, and some of the best service I have ever experienced in a pizza place (or any restaurant for that matter). Ashanti was fabulous and attentive (since I ordered a few beers while waiting). She also made sure that my pizza was done to my liking before I paid. The cook, Eunice, also came out and wondered how I liked the food. When tasting, it was out of this world. I would say that its the best pizza in central Iowa (seriously!). Because of the service from Eunice and Ashanti, I promise to return to this location very soon! I will also spread the word with my other Italian friends about this hidden treasure in Waukee! Thank you Scornovacca's, Ashanti and Eunice! What an experience. :)”
