we love coming into the shop for a sweet treat, but just had an ice cream cake & brownie pizza for my son's birthday party and WOW!!! first, staff was super helpful & responsive making sure i got what i needed when i needed it. but these desserts were LIGHTS OUT GOOD. definitely going to be a celebration go-to from now on.
Love this place! Ever since I was told to go dairy free, I kissed ice cream goodbye. However Home Sweet Cone has brought joy in my life again and it's one of the few, if not the only ice cream place in the DSM Metro, that has dairy free ice cream. And not just any dairy free ice cream you can find at Hy-Vee. This ice cream is REALLY yummy! I stopped buying the SO Delicious brand and instead go to HSC when I'm craving ice cream. I stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon and got a 2 scoop cup of coffee heath. The girls behind the counter were very nice and gave me a sample no problem when I asked. The 2 scoops were just over $7. The place was cute, had a decent amount of seating but very cool that they had small child seating as well.
