The Veg Manchurian hits the spot, the Goat Fry Biriyani is truly amazing, the Apollo Fish as well as the Masala Chai! I am going to be a regular now! This is definitely my go-to Indian restaurant in the Des Moines metro area! Super happy! Super satiated! Srikanth is very passionate about cooking and that shows when you taste every item in the restaurant! It’s phenomenal! Do give it a try! You will understand what true Indian food feels like! 🫶”

“So good. We love it for upscale casual lunch and a wonderful dinner. Tonight my wife and daughter ate there. They had the chicken dumplings, carbonara, and the fried chicken salad. They said it was amazing. Best part? They brought me home a Waygu burger with Parmesan fries. So good!!! Check it out.”

“Food is always delicious! I went in after work on Mother’s Day to take home 3 orders of shrimp fajitas and the patio and tables inside were packed. Despite staff being very busy, I still got my order in 15 min and one of the teens working at the register checked on me while I waited to see if I needed anything. I’ve always had excellent service. The margaritas are delicious as well!”

“We held my son's graduation open house at The Cork 50131 & I couldn't have been happier. The space was perfectly sized & easy for us to set up. The bartender was SOOOO attentive & helpful to us in setting things up & restocking food as the party went on. The rate was reasonable. There was parking & an outdoor space but if it HAD rained, we wouldn't have needed it. Absolutely top-notch place to hold a grad party!”

“I have eaten an unreasonable amount of Subway in my lifetime. I’m basically a self-appointed Subway sandwich critic. And let me tell you, this location? Elite. Out of all the Subway sandwiches I’ve had in my life (and trust me, there have been MANY), this location is hands down the best. The bread is always so fresh and soft, they put the perfect ratio of topping on every time. And as if it couldn't get any better the staff are some of the most friendly people you will meet. Most of the time they remember my entire sandwich order and it's evident that the staff truly care about the important art of the Subway sandwich as much as i do. 8th wonder of the world is the Merle Hay Johnston subway.”

“I was riding my bicycle with several friends from Johnston Town Center to Polk City. On the way back we rode over the Sailorville Dam and stopped in to the Boat House. What a fun time. The place was amazing and the free popcorn was a great surprise.”

“Huge shout out to Wasabi Johnston! My daughter wanted to go there for sushi for her bday dinner last night. I called ahead and asked if we could bring in a cake, etc... they were MORE than accommodating. They said whatever we needed! They kept it a secret until we finished our dinner. Brought out the cake, lit the candles, provided extra plates, a knife to cut it and were SO kind. Thank you guys all SO much! My daughter was thrilled (and embarrassed). Excellent dinner too!”

“Overall, this location is amazing! The food is hot, the smoothies are packed with flavor....if you go before noon. The morning crew is amazing and make great food. The afternoon/evening crew...different story. All the smoothies taste like ice, and the food is always missing ingredients and is smaller? I come here often as it's one of the only places I can get a smoothie when I work odd hours, and I have come over a dozen times at this point, and the morning is always great...and the evening makes me want to never return after noon. All I want is for the smoothies to always taste the same and for the food to be the same. I just want the evening crew to get more training, and to care, or follow the recipe.”

“Came in just 10 minutes before the kitchen closed but the kind man at the bar still gladly took our order and offered us water without us asking. The smash burger and fries were pretty solid! We played one round of bowling and ended up being the last ones there and he didn't charge us for the game. Great service and vibes, will definitely be back.”
