“My BF and I went here after the Greta Van Fleet show on Aug 11th at the State Fair. You could consider this a dive bar, but it was clean. Friendly people and our bartender, Dan, was awesome. We met some great ppl here and had a blast. I hope to make it back again someday. Thank you Patrick for recommending this place and thank you Dan for being so awesome and funny!“

“Nick’s is always a win! If you’re there, you are family. The staff truly cares that your experience is spectacular. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is top-notch. Twice a month I meet up with a wonderful friend to sit at the bar, eat some snacks, and enjoy a bourbon or martini while she drinks wine. Even with the rarity of my visits, the bartenders treat me like a regular and work to get to know me. You cannot match the level of service! I typically stay for a short amount of time, eat while I’m there, and also take food home for my high school aged children. The to go food is always perfectly packaged and delicious even if it sits on the counter for a bit while we finish our conversation and settle bills. I cannot recommend Nick’s enough. I almost hate to post this review and ruin the truly beautiful experience.“

“Young waiter took our orders and then brought out our food. There was one entree missing and we thought he was just going back there to get it. After about 10 to 15 minutes we stopped another server and asked about our food and they told us that they were out of that particular menu item. All they did was ask us if we wanted to order something else and apologize. Other than that the food was good.“

“We celebrated a birthday here, had a party of about 14 people, pretty large. The service was great and extremely friendly! Food was delicious and came out pretty quick for a large group. We ordered a little of everything from the menu and it was all delicious. We will definitely be back again in the future.“

“Self check out normally is a disaster but today I got helped by Michelle.T and she was awesome. She was able to multitask and help with questions along with making sure we got out of there without a hassle. Amazing food and well trained staff. Michelle T working the self check out line on Saturday June 10th was the best so far though“

“My wife was in the mood for pub food so we went to a few "Pubs" and they were basically bar with French fries as food. Those were a hard pass. After another search we found Saints Pub. After walking in we had immediate service. Our waitress was very friendly and happy to chat with us. Which is a rarity we enjoy. After a quick round of "is this tasty" with her when looking at the menu my wife wanted to be sure the spicy burger was indeed spicy. Our waitress brought out some of the sauce to try and it was definitely spicy. I decided on the bacon mushroom burger and wanted it cook medium rare. While my wife wanted her spicy burger in the form of an over cooked hockey puck. The food arrived pretty quickly and both burger were cooked perfectly. Mine was juicy with a hot pink center and my wife's was ready for the NHL playoffs. I really enjoyed my burger. The only thing it missed was the salt/pepper coating typically used for grill burgers. The seet potatoe fries were also tasty. My wife like her burger and waffles fries as well with no complaints. Which is rare. Our super friendly server also kept our drinks topped off with regularity. I definitely give her 5 stars for service. It was a little dark but that is what I am used to for late nights at pubs and bars. I see us coming back again with friends.“

“First time visiting a Hyvee Express and noticed they somewhat took over gas stations in urbandale area & at first was a little against the idea but WOW I love this station.Actually as normal as possible food to buy and fresh fruit too! It's a mini hyvee restaurant so I m impressed with what they have done“

“First time coming here - family brought me and I was blown away by the choices on the menu. No one walked away hungry and there were several to-go boxes. Service was excellent and we had no wait for our table of 6. I'd come back in a heartbeat.“

“Glad the keg cooler was fixed! And that there are new cold keg beer for happy hour 4pm-6pm.

Also glad there are new kitchen staff & the kitchen manager has squashed the rumors of the bar closing. So with more regular cooks & them learning to help bartend, I'd give it another chance.

Hopefully the new district manager follows through as well to try to keep things running smoothly in all aspects of Hy-Vee.“

They accommodated my requests and the gentlemen, two asian men, did an excellent job in taking my order and taking care of my dinner. “My favorite Fast and Fresh. When the Fast and Fresh across from Bucs arena said their kitchen was closed, the gentlemen at the Merle Hay Fast and Fresh said "we'll make it". I go there all the time and I have never had a bad experience!“
