“Hello, I wanted to recognize the staff of the Chinese buffet at the above location. They had very good patience with me and my confusion of their menu. They accommodated my requests and the gentlemen, two asian men, did an excellent job in taking my order and taking care of my dinner. I want to apologize if I caused any stress and frustration for them by my questions and the delay to serve the rest of the guests behind me ready to order. “Not from Iowa, visited the area. I am a huge orange chicken fan and let me tell you - this place has FANTASTIC orange chicken.
Cost was about $17, but that was chicken, rice, soup and an egg roll - so well worth the total package.
The owner was nice at the register and helpful. The to go packaging included some cardboard at the bottom of the bag to keep it all level/stable - incredible, I loved that.
If you collect 10 of their little cardboard sleeves you get a free meal so that would be helpful if youre a local. I'd give this place a 6 out of 5 if google let me.“

The greeter was friendly and quickly seated us. Our server came quickly, asked how our day was going, and if it was a special occasion. I thought that was nice.
We placed an order for the chicken lettuce wraps for appetizers. The lettuce was really crisp and large enough to fit a nice portion of chicken mix. (I'm not sure what was mixed with chicken but it was just the right amount of spicy) You also get a dipping sauce.
We opted for the two for $20.00 per person special which includes the appetizer, salad or soup and an entrée each. I thought that was an amazing deal since you get a nice selection of entrée choices. You could choose rice or noodles.
My husband got the spicy chicken and I had the beef and broccoli. The service was really fast. Food was hot. Each proportion was nice size.
It really is a cozy place since there was enough space between all the tables. Also the manager stopped by to ensure service and food was to our liking.

“While I don't know how long Asian Cuisine has been open in Grimes, it has the small-town feel Grimes used to have. It's in one of what has to be the first shopping strips in town and I don't want the outer facade to hinder your decision to dine in! The restaurant was clean, service was fast and friendly, and the cost for lunch was exactly where I like it to be (under $10). And the main reason to go is because the food is delicious. I will be going back!

“This place has the best “Pot Stickers” in Des Moines! So friendly and hardworking! They offer so many different meats and veggie dumpling combinations! My favorite are the pork with Napa cabbage, but my mother prefers the chicken and Napa cabbage! Make sure you get them with the crunchy chili oil! You’ll find them at the Valley Junction Farmer’s Market on Thursday evenings, the Downtown Farmer’s Market in Des Moines on Saturday mornings, as well as Kitchen Spaces in the Drake Neighborhood on Sunday nights!“

“I have to start with the beauty and style of the restaurant. The ambience was fantastic. Our waitress was so kind. The food was awesome. Started with a ginger salad, shrimp pad Thai for my entree & shared a thunder roll with my husband. YUM! All of it. I even tried a bite of my husbands ramen & it was great too. Such a wonderful spot. I should also mention that the specialty cocktails were very good as well. 10/10 would eat here again.“

“Wonderfully delicious and extremely quick, Rok the Wok satisfies all my Chinese Food cravings. I miss their soups, tho! Wow! Hands down THE best place for Chinese food is back! How do I know it’s the best, you may ask? The Des Moines Metro voted for several years in a row! I’ve followed these two ever since I met them in Cedar Falls, IA about 23 years ago! When I found out 20 years ago they were opening up a restaurant in Waukee, IA; I had to let the word out to everyone I knew! As former owners of Shanghai in Waukee (y’all know who I’m talkin’ about now), Cityview’s #1 Chinese Restaurant for several years (including an honorable mention for best Vietnamese food) at last had all the respect and accolades they’d ever dreamed of! Where else to go?…But EVERYWHERE! ? The food really is dynamite and it’s everything everybody says it is! The Mongolian Beef and Shrimp, the Governor’s Chicken, and their soups (Egg Drop and Hot and Sour) are the best they’ve ever been! Also, I love that I can order one of whatever appetizer they have! My favorites are the wings, Vietnamese egg rolls, and Crab Rangoon! Be sure to try the spicy Nuoc Mam with the egg rolls! The prices are great for people like me on a dining budget, and they are located in the well-maintained Menard’s parking lot on Hickman Ave in Clive! Super easy to find and get to! They also do quite a bit for the community! Just recently they served lunches to all of the hungry staff members at Hoover High and Meredith Middle School! They really do know how to Rok the Wok! Give’em a try, and I guarantee you it’ll “hit the spot!”“
