Capriotti's Sandwich Shop

I used to go to Caprottis in Cedar Rapids and LOVED IT! It had probably been 8 years since I've had a sandwich from there and was pretty let down. The portion felt like half of what it used to be. I put in an order for a specific pick up time. It was pretty clear they made the order when it came in and let it sit. The flavor was still good, just not worth going back for.

Went in with some coworkers for lunch, after ordering I sat there and watched everyone I was with be served and start eating along with others who had come in well after. In all I waited 45minutes FOR A BLT! which was slapped together and underwhelming. I’d love to give another try but man as a first experience that was just awful.

I’ve been eating at Capriotti’s since the early 2000’s when I lived in Las Vegas. They’re many more of them there. A Bobby ( Their Signature Sandwich) was 10$ and change. I get the inflation part! But what I got last night at this store was a Stuffing bread sandwich with mayo and very little Turkey and very little cranberry! 12$ plus change! 25$ for 2 of these for the Wife and I . Never again ! This store will be closed in the next 12 months if they keep this up ! Sorry, got to be said .

Capriotti’s has been one of my favorite sandwiches ever since I lived in Vegas. The food is phenomenal and does not disappoint! Cheese steaks with hot and sweet peppers, mushrooms and onions are my favorite but gotta give an honorable mention to the Capastrami and the Bobbie too!

We travel back and forth from Nebraska to Minnesota quite often and our favorite pit stop is here at Capriottis! They are on of the last locations in the midwest after the Minnesota location closed after covid. Everytime we stop by we are always greeted with great service and awesome food. Restrooms are always clean as well.
