Best Italian in Des Moines!
Great atmosphere, food and service.
Fantastic service and food.
Great restaurant! The food and ambiance are top notch. We've been coming here for years, and they always send a little extra dessert home with us! :) Amazing for carry-out as well!
To begin with, the host was awesome and so was our server, Olivia. It was our first time and she helped out with some amazing suggestions and was super sweet and attentive. We started with the roasted garlic platter and it was super flavorful but not overpowering. I got the Lobster Farfalle and my boyfriend got the Ziti Cucina pizza and they both were a hit. I got huge chunks of lobster which you don’t often see in a lot of restaurants. We finished the night with Crème Brûlée, it was also a 10/10. Amazing food, drinks, and staff, you’ve got to check it out!

They are often busy this time of year so we went a little early to be sure we could get a nice booth. The food was great as usual and the ziti was spectacular! Our server Olivia, was very nice and provided with excellent service. Overall, it was another pleasant experience - and we have been going to Cosi Cucina for over 30 years.

This was one of the best times I've had since my medical condition! Peter the amazing owner served food took care of tables and was so awesome. Kaitlin was our hostess and she was the best hostess my wife and I can say we’ve ever had, Peter you better hang on to her she’s one in a million. The bartender made me 2 fantastic old fashions, they were awesome. The chicken parmesan was to die for, none like no other. My wife’s lasagne as she stated was delicious! Kudos to your establishment 5 stars. Bob Stanton

My husband and I cannot possibly say enough positive things about our experiences dining at Cosi Cucina. It is our absolute favorite place to eat. The experience is ALWAYS consistent - food, service, atmosphere and ambiance. The restaurant is clean, cozy and inviting. The food is amazing - absolutely everything on the menu is delicious. My husbands favorite dish is the ziti cucina + meatballs and diana sauce. I love the lobster farfalle and always order a salad with the house creamy garlic parmesan; so yummy! The owner (I think) is always there when we visit and the staff always appears so happy and helpful. He is makes an effort almost every time we are there to personally thank us for dining in. It is so refreshing to have a consistent positive experience at a local restaurant. Well done, Cosi!

Service was impeccable. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Excellent food, drinks. The Diana's martini was good. We had a variety of dishes. The 2 biggest hits with us were the Bowtie Philly Cheese steak and Balsamic Chicken.

Overall Experience: I have visited Cosi Cuna Many time and the consistency in the food program is excellent. I have been served by nearly every waitress/waiter in the establishment and am pretty impressed with the food program, cleaning of the establishment, service and ambiance. Plan to call ahead to check in the wait time - but you’ll need to be in person to join the waitlist!
Service : I’ve had many experiences and each of them were consistent for the most part. At one point a waiter forgot the appetizer but the Manager/Owner - (I believe his name Peter) corrected it quickly and comped that portion of the meal. I really enjoy the team’s attention to detail and consistency. I am known to the manager as a frequent flyer and have ben recognized time and time again. The restaurant is clean and the line will tell you just how many locals love it!
Food: The Menu is diverse and has something for anyone. The meal portions are amazing and the price reflects the quality of the experience, food and portion size. If it’s your first time check out the Cheese Sticks as an appetizer (Do a full order - you’ll want more!) I’d also suggest Ziti Cucina or Fettuccine Bacon Parmesan, Or Shrimp Scampi! highly recommend
Parking: Parking on-site, The lot surrounds the building’s east, west and south sides. 30+ spots available.
