Went in NYE just to drop a gift off to a friend. Our friend was two feet inside the venue by the door, my husband told the guy at the door we weren’t staying just dropping a gift off and we’re out. He let us in to do just that and maybe 10 seconds later some taller, older, bald guy accused us of “dodging” the cover and after explaining, we were told we has to pay the cover regardless. The ATM was as all the way on the back wall of the bar, which makes no sense if you expect people to pay at the door with cash only. He watched us get the money out, pay the guy, get our bands on and we said bye to our friend and left.
It’s an unfortunate way to do business and lose it immediately, our band used to play there quite frequently, but after last night, we no longer have any interest in doing future business with Down Under

Didn't eat, but had a couple of drinks. Bartender was polite and didn't make us wait. It was clean, big and had several big t.vs. there is a nice outside area where you can drink and smoke.

Cool place. Hadn't been here for a long time. Decent beers on tap. Staff was great but was there to watch iowa game and they were understaffed. Very friendly. Macaroni cheesebites were good. Nachos were ok. Would be better with a queso option instead of Campbell's Nacho cheese.
