Franka Pizzeria

Frank might have the best pizza in the Des Moines metro, it's easily at the top of my list. Love their white thyme pizzas, brussel sprouts, wings and delicious cocktails (the spritzer was so light and refreshing when I was there last)!

The margarita pizza is a top notch wood fired Neapolitan pizza. The best in the greater Des Moines area without a doubt. Service and atmosphere was great too. Outdoor seating was great.

We were here on Friday night after move out from ISU. We were seated right away. Busy enough, but not packed.

The place has a hip vibe, somewhat open kitchen and view of wood burning pizza oven.

The food was very tasty. Great and flavorful pizza. And…………. That was about it. Our only apps we wanted were the very tasty and fresh mozz sticks, but we were shorted one (4 on menu).

Our male waiter (forgot name but had tats all over arms) seemed bothered we and others were there. Drink service was subpar as in no refills when asked. No ice in water.
The only saving grace was the blonde female waitress that paid attention to us.

Would like to come back. Might have to ask to NOT have same server.

Had this on my list for awhile and finally got over there while working in DM this week. Invited local family and we all really enjoyed it. Excellent and prompt service, food was fast on a Friday night, and so good. We all enjoyed the pizza, apple salad was very good, too. Excited to come back!!

Amazing service and fantastic food. We especially enjoyed the artichoke appetizer. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great wood fired pizza!

Awesome Neapolitan-style pizza? Check. Pleasant environment for either a family reunion, coworkers get-together, or a romantic date? Check. Menu with various wines, cocktails, and soft drinks for all tastes/ages? Check. And have I mentioned the awesome Neapolitan-style pizza? Yep, this is the place!

Truly the best pizza I’ve had in Des Moines. I know we’re not known for pizza but the pizza there is killer good. I’m from Southern California and the vibe inside is very much a Newport coast California vibe. Doesn’t feel like Iowa haha. Definitely recommend 100%

Super chill spot. Surprised their Google rating is 4.4.. should be 5.4... Chic but relaxed, Pizzeria but Gormet... Pizzas are 10/10... But let me sidetrack to their SmashBurger .. WTH is the greatest SmashBurger doing in a pizzeria?.. it takes like a commercial. They could start another restaurant alone with that 1 menu item.

Loved the atmosphere. Very open and fun. Wood fired pizza was terrific. Spicy Thai chicken pizza was yummy! Without cilantro for me though.
