Great food, great sake, great service. I was only in town for a few days, but Mandarin Grill was good enough that I ordered twice (once as dine in, once to go). My server (I'm forgetting her name, maybe Rebecca?) was friendly, knowledgeable, and chatty. She made sure I knew exactly what I was getting, and that I was happy with everything. The miso soup was delicious, and I really liked the yushang eggplant as well. My only very minor complaint is that the egg roll was greasy. The taste and texture were very good, but it was almost like it didn't get drained after being pulled from the fryer. Aside from that, everything was terrific. I look forward to visiting again next time I'm in Des Moines.

Was greeted and seated right away. Ordered Hawkeye roll, crab rangoons, Mongolian beef, and sesame chicken. Everything was so delicious! Loved the sauces on the roll, and the rangoons were so full of crab! Our server was very friendly and fast. Great food! I had the twice cooked pork with white rice and an order of vegetable tempura. The pork was cooked wonderfully and had great taste. Love the added heat to the dish. The vegetable tempura had amazing flavor. They were not soggy nor lacked flavor. Definitely trying the place

Since childhood, my parents brought me here, and it became the backdrop for our first meeting with both families when my girlfriend, now wife, entered the picture. The consistency and excellence of this restaurant have never let me down. Now, as a parent myself, I'm delighted to share this cherished place with my 3-year-old daughter, who loves it just as much. I ordered crab Rangoon and hot tea along with my entree of Teriyaki chicken Lo Mein. The crab Rangoon was delicious and less expensive than competitors. My entree was also delicious. The best meal I've had to eat in ages. My service was good and I was very pleased with this experience and delicious food!
