Monarca Gourmet Paletas

Will definitely be back this place was so cool so many flavor choices and delicious paletas.
Great vibe and customer service.

Service was good but way too pricy. Basically a cream type popsicle with a dipped coating.

My friend and I arrived a short time after it had opened for the day (8/11/2025). The staff member was patient and knowledgeable, helping us through the process as we'd never been there before. The paletas (popsicles) were displayed nicely, and each flavor had a chart listing whether it was gluten and/or dairy free. They had a decent variety of dippings, toppings, and drizzlings to choose from and it was reasonably priced. While eating, a few families came in within minutes of each other and he was able to hold his own admirably. The space was clean, with a fair amount of seating and legible signage. We're both looking forward to coming again!

My first time having a Paleta and it was amazing!! “Build your own” is always intimidating when trying something new but the staff was incredibly kind and guided me in the right direction. I did a strawberry cheesecake dipped in white chocolate and gram cracker. I would absolutely get that again and I look forward to trying new flavors/ combinations. Unfortunately, I was too excited so I didn’t get a picture but it looked beautiful!

Now this is the place to go when you want a fresh popsicle and you want to add dipping sauce and or make it a taco. When I first saw the wide variety of water based and milked based Popsicles. I was amazed that you could put toppings on it oe just eat it the way it is. If you are looking for a twist on a Hispanic flavored Popsicle that's the place to be at. The price is also worth it. For the amazing taste.

We love this local shop with a huge selection of flavors and types of paletas for different dietary needs. i got the toasted marshmallow on Selena Gomez's oreo option and it was wild!

Wow. This ice cream is OUT OF THIS WORLD! This is by far the BEST ice cream I’ve ever had. This should be 6 stars and our amazing server, Paola, gave us a wonderful recommendation that the whole family loved. Shoutout to you! You won’t be dissatisfied, come and get what’s probably some of the best ice cream in the world. 12/10.

Best ice cream treats in Des Moines! I love to order a pistachio paleta, covered in cookie butter and topped with Oreos. Might sound a little weird but it's absolutely delicious!

Soooo goooood 🥹 perfect for anyone who likes sweets that ain’t too sweet. We had different flavors and we all loved ours. Would be back to try them all!!!

Highly disappointed in this place, wouldn’t recommend it at all. The business owner/employee screamed at my 13 year old niece because he THOUGHT she was recording something in the kitchen. This place should definitely be inspected and investigated for whatever they’re doing back there for being that upset.

Monarcha is amazing. It's my favorite place for a treat in Des Moines.
