Wonderfully delicious and extremely quick, Rok the Wok satisfies all my Chinese Food cravings. I miss their soups, tho! Wow! Hands down THE best place for Chinese food is back! How do I know it’s the best, you may ask? The Des Moines Metro voted for several years in a row! I’ve followed these two ever since I met them in Cedar Falls, IA about 23 years ago! When I found out 20 years ago they were opening up a restaurant in Waukee, IA; I had to let the word out to everyone I knew! As former owners of Shanghai in Waukee (y’all know who I’m talkin’ about now), Cityview’s #1 Chinese Restaurant for several years (including an honorable mention for best Vietnamese food) at last had all the respect and accolades they’d ever dreamed of! Where else to go?…But EVERYWHERE! ? The food really is dynamite and it’s everything everybody says it is! The Mongolian Beef and Shrimp, the Governor’s Chicken, and their soups (Egg Drop and Hot and Sour) are the best they’ve ever been! Also, I love that I can order one of whatever appetizer they have! My favorites are the wings, Vietnamese egg rolls, and Crab Rangoon! Be sure to try the spicy Nuoc Mam with the egg rolls! The prices are great for people like me on a dining budget, and they are located in the well-maintained Menard’s parking lot on Hickman Ave in Clive! Super easy to find and get to! They also do quite a bit for the community! Just recently they served lunches to all of the hungry staff members at Hoover High and Meredith Middle School! They really do know how to Rok the Wok! Give’em a try, and I guarantee you it’ll “hit the spot!”

This food was amazing. So so so good. No pictures because I didn't think it would be this good so it was no big deal. But seriously... When I signed the receipt I was thinking "15 bucks for a food truck lunch and egg roll is a lot" and then I took a bite. SOOOOO good.

It finally happened. I had Mongolian chicken! And it was delicious. I really liked that you could pick your protein and sauce. They even added hot chili oil at my request to make it spicier. Egg rolls were solid price was good. Thanks for the great experience!

RokTheWokTruck always had great food! It’s hot and fresh. We’ve had the combo fried rice and Hunan chicken and both are great. Their Vietnamese egg rolls are fresh and crunchy. They are always very friendly and some of the best Asian food we’ve had!

I had the sesame chicken, and my wife had the shrimp lo mein. Delicious food with leftovers at a good price. The sesame chicken reminded me of how good local Chinese food was when I was young. Will eat here again.
Very quick, and food was amazing. I had beef lomein, with fried rice, and a side of 2 chinese egg rolls. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I will be stopping by again next time I am in the same area they are.

Wow, what a find! I was in the Des Moines area and stopped at Menards for some supplies. This food truck was sitting right there in the parking lot so I had to give it a try. Ordered the Governor's with chicken and it did not disappoint. Great prices too. Check it out!!
