This is a truly outstanding place from a food and service perspective. For breakfast, I can't believe there is a better place in the Des Moines area.

Nice place. The chunks of sweet potato in the hash were still crunchy.

If I could go here for breakfast everyday, I certainly would. Fantastic presentation and attention to detail. Everything was prepared perfectly and the modern vibe is something refreshing. They are not afraid to be bold and provide a European-like vibe.
Don’t miss out on ordering the off-menu pastries for desert!
We’ll be going again for sure.

Went in with my pregnant wife, who is 28 weeks along, after an OBGYN visit at 10 AM. We saw a couple of empty round tables and wanted to sit there, but the server told us those tables were reserved for parties of three. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty at that time, and seeing two people already seated at the round tables, we were moved to a small table upstair around the long bar. Throughout the visit, we didn’t feel welcomed. Nearly finished with my breakfast, they still hadn’t brought my black coffee. We left around 11 AM, and those round tables were still unoccupied. This was our first and last visit.

Amazing place! We wish we could go back, unfortunately we were just passing through Iowa. Service was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was fabulous. We had the Aussie breakfast and the BBQ bowl and loved them. The waitress said some people order the BBQ bowl without the slaw but we all agreed they are missing out! The slaw was perfection. We ordered a side of bacon and hashbrowns for our kid and they came out on a cute plate with a side of ketchup, hashbrowns were crunchy and delightful.
Definitely give this place a try!

The breakfast/brunch is outstanding, but the coffee... Single best cup of coffee I've ever had.

I’d give 5 stars if I received what the menu said. I ordered French toast. It was missing pecans which was I ordered it. A disappointment. So paid extra for plain French toast.
I will say the owner here is great and I really like everything else I’ve ordered.

Cute little shop. Poached eggs were way overcooked, but the service was good.

We had the tiramisu latte, hot chocolate, almond croissant and fries. Husband said it was some of the best hot chocolate he’s had at a coffee shop. Loved the latte art!

Arrived at 1:20. We ordered our drinks after a 15 wait. Waited another 20 minutes and the server came back and said she was going to clean off two tables and come back for our order. We said no, we wanted our bill. She apologized, as we did, that she was the only waitress on the floor. I apologized to her.
