We had a lovely time there. The chicken and the ricotta appetizers were stellar. The zodiac cocktail was yummy floral. The bouillabaisse was wonderful, swordfish was seasoned well, shrimp were huge. The sweet potato curry was ok. The quinoa was cold fyi. The beef tenderloin was perfection. The salmon itself was delicious but the couscous served with it was awful. Cold, flavorless and strange. I highly suggest you order a salad and add the salmon to it. Over all a lovely time but some disappointments on the entree.

Husband and I had a disappointing date night here. We went in early on a weeknight and sat at the bar. We were greeted and serviced right away.
The water and/or water glasses had a smell- like they cleaned them in bar sink water instead of a dishwasher.
Cocktails and mocktails were imaginative and well curated. Always appreciate a couple good mocktail choices.
We order the special burrata appetizer. The puff pastry was so dense my husband couldn’t cut it with a knife. In addition to the burrata, there was a cream added that made the pastry too wet. The berries were good but the dish was entirely too sweet and felt more like a dessert.
The amuse-bouche was liquid Arnold palmer inside a white chocolate shell. Again, too sweet and the white chocolate over powered the subtle Arnold palmer flavor. A miss for me. A second amuse-bouche was a chilled roasted red pepper soup, with the foam from the appetizer returning. I thought the soup was, again, too sweet and didn’t need the foam cream. The flavor was well developed.
I ordered swordfish and the husband had steak. Plates were visually appealing. My swordfish was so dry and so were the roasted potatoes - either overcooked or not fresh.
No one asked how my husband wanted his steak cooked, but it came well done and under seasoned. The squash was good but could use some salt.
Service was good, but we felt like the bartender kept interrupting our conversation and hurried us through our meal.
We skipped dessert since we felt like the appetizer filled that role.
Menu was interesting and imaginative, but overall the quality of the ingredients, preparation, and the flavors were just a miss for us. Restaurant itself is clean, but felt a bit underwhelming decor wise. I loved the bar chairs but no under bar hooks for my purse.

An outstanding dining experience. The food was unique and delicious. I started with the flavorful brussel sprouts, enjoyed the chicken as the main and for dessert savored the strawberry. The service was top notch and, there were also several extra surprises from the kitchen. I highly recommend to those who enjoy the finest in dining. Whenever we are in Des Moines, this will always be our first choice.

This was an experience. Each and every plate was obviously curated and prepared with the utmost consideration. Not only was every flavor profile on point, the plating was thoughtful and artistic. Service was knowledgeable, kind, and smooth. Wish there were something of this caliber closer to me. Bravoooooo!

I had the seafood platter and it was fantastic! The wine list is great. Garret gave us great suggestions. The Barbera was so good. It was light. My wife had the sword fish. Very meaty dense fish, but the flavor was incredible! Service was spectacular. I highly recommend this restaurant.

There is a review that is not accurate. Disgruntled employee or a troll. The Chef is awesome and does some of the best food in this town. I have been following him since 2017. This guy is the real deal. The food is so good . Go find out for yourself. I have had one of the lunch sandwiches and it was awesome. Go to Table 128 and you will have a great experience! The dinner menu is so good.
My wife and I recently had an incredible dining experience at Table 128. I enjoyed one of the best fish entrées I've ever had—the swordfish was truly exceptional. Garrett, who manages the restaurant, greeted us warmly at the front door and checked in with us multiple times throughout the evening to ensure we were having a great experience. He even paired a couple of outstanding wines with our dinner, adding a special touch to our meal.
The atmosphere at Table 128 is calm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were amazing. I highly recommend this new gem in East Village. Garrett has managed some of our other favorite restaurants in the past, and he and his team do a fantastic job here as well. Five stars!

Nice place with great service. Problem is that we remember the previous Table 128 and was hoping for that. Burger and beat salad was very good but the brussel sprouts were not like they used to be. If this is your first time here, you will be able to find something decent. If you remember the old Table 128, this is something new with an old name.

The food absolutely different and delicious! Outstanding. The room was not designed to handle a full restaurant. Noise made it hard to converse. But the taste treat nevertheless made the experience really enjoyable.

Excellent service, delicious cocktails, and one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had in my life - not to mention perfectly cooked scallops, incredible salmon and delectable short ribs. ♥️♥️

You do not have my support after the way my situation was handled. That one I won't forget, pretty bad.
This may be the only negative review I leave up.
