Called in a to go order. When I looked at the receipt at home, I discovered they charged me $1.00 for a call in order. They never told me this when I ordered nor has any other restaurant ever charged me for this. This is bullsh*t in my opinion. I won't ever call in another order.

Had dinner yesterday with my husband. The mushroom appetizer is always amazing! We both got sandwiches, and they were delicious!!! Keep in mind that the portions are HUGE!! Our server was fantastic and we always enjoy it when we go there! The only downside is that it's super loud when the restaurant gets busy. Lots of voices and the music is turned up pretty loud as well. Suggest going before or after regular meal times if you want to hear what other people at your table are saying.

We stopped in late and only had the smaller late night menu to choose from. We had the nachos with beef. The taste was good. The one drawback was they pile all of the chips, then plop a bunch of toppings in the middle. The middle chips have a lot of stuff on them, but the chips around the outside and underneath are bare. The portion was big enough for two to share. All in all, I had a good experience, and I would go back.

It’s a cool sports bar with great food. We love Happy Hour and their specials. Tenderloin, burgers, and pizza are favorites and the onion rings or chips and dip trio is always a win!

Picked to visit based on their $8.99 lunch menu and did not disappoint! We had a fantastic server. Sat outside on the patio.
Pork tenderloin is a Top 3 in Iowa from the many that I've tried. It was hand breaded. Seasoned fries were crisp and well seasoned, excellent! Swiss potato soup was fantastic. My partner had the spaghetti lunch special, which was good. There were many more items on the lunch menu at great prices. From talking to the server, most of their foods and sauces are made in-house.
The building is large with ample seating and nice ambiance. It's sports bar themed but was not too loud for us. I really look forward to going back, and it seems like a place we could frequent.

I grew up eating The Other Place Pizza at one of the older locations, in Evansdale. I think OP Pizza is the very top of the line of Pizzas, and consider it the gold standard for how a pizza should be. Sure, I like other pies, but OP can’t be beat. Often though, lately, with my high standard, naturally I am disappointed at different Other Place locations if they don’t get it quite right. A little undercooked or over, not enough sauce, served a little too cold, crust not as thick…. Been a while since I’ve had the perfect OP Pizza. Well, today at lunch we went to the Clive location for the first time and ordered at 14” with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, black olives and mushrooms… and it was absolutely PERFECT! They knocked it out of the park! Crust perfect, sauce amount perfect, cooked to perfection, of course the toppings are always top notch. You know it’s good when you’re full and you just want to keep eating. Great job ladies and gentlemen at the Clive location. You made this 40 year old OP Pizza lover very happy today. Lord Bless.

The second I walked into this establishment on 8/13 @ 6:15 pm and i felt as if me spending my money here was a burden. I sat at the bar and the bartender could not have been less friendly. I would love to tell you her name, but she never introduced herself. I understand having a bad day, I truly do. But this was hands down the worst experience I ever had. I was with a guy I just met, and he even commented that she needs to find a new line of work. Menus thrown at us. Receipts thrown at us. No “welcome in!” Or anything of that sort. I’m almost laughing typing this review because it was so bad. My 90-year-old grandfather brings more energy than she does. I am simply writing this in hopes that a higher up can see this bring their staff back from the dead. A real shame too, because the food was fantastic. A bartender complete ruined the experience. I apologize to her for coming in and spending my money with her. My bad. She deserved no tip. The tip she deserves is to F.I.O. (Figure it out).
