Well, what a great surprise. The food was delicious and the service excellent thank you Bree. You were great. I recommend this highly and the menu was great. The drinks were delicious and something a little different than the ordinary. Thanks for a great brunch.

A friend of mine and I went to 30hop in Merriam Kansas for the first time 07/19/25. First the seating staff at the door were not friendly in the least, even after I asked how they were doing today, and as a result we decided to skip a table and sit at the 100% empty bar. There were two bartenders. The female bartender asked us what we would like and told us we had 10 minutes left to order Mimosas at the "happy hour" price. I asked a few questions about the beer selections and she struggled to answer questions. I asked about beer flights and she said they did not do that, I suggested they should because of the wide selection of beers.
Ultimately my friend choose a Mimosa and I decided on a large Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat.
Now you know how when you order a Coke and get Dr. P instead how the shock of the wrong taste hits your taste buds when you expected something else?
Well I took a drink of my overpriced beer, which had a huge foam head of approximately1 to 1 1/2 inches which should have been FULL to top for the price, and total taste bud shock as what I was served was definitely not what I ordered. Once I told the bartender that my beer was not Boulevard Wheat the freak out mode began. My bartender told the other bartender who took a sample to check on the problem then went to get the manager I can only assume because he never spoke to us. He took a sample, tasted it, and told the male bartender it was the wrong beer. Then they went into clean up mode draining the line and attaching the correct keg. No apology, no nothing, all while the bar seating was empty except for the two of us. I sat there watching them trying to figure things out while drinking on the beer they had served me. Once they got things figured out which took about 15-20 minutes our bartender came back over and asked if I still wanted a Wheat beer to which I replied yes please. I also said, since I was served the wrong beer that that one was on the house and she just smirked. At this point I was just a bit unhappy. She brought me the Wheat beer and said I had to give her the remaining half of the wrong beer. I asked why I could not just finish it since she was just going to pour it out and she did not respond, she just reached out and took it. Then I was angry. They screwed up and not even an apology or letting me finish drinking their mistake. We finished our drinks and decided to not order any food and go to another restaurant since the unfriendly bar staff could not get the beer right while the beer selections seem to be their largest selling point. We were not comfortable with how this issue played out and felt uneasy about ordering any food. I have to honestly say that I have never written a review before in my 62 years but this experience warranted me taking the time to do so.
I have never been to a restaurant, especially a brand new restaurant, with such an obviously unfriendly staff.
I will never go back and I will go out of my way to let people know about my experience with the recommendation to avoid this place.

Came for a staff lunch at 30hop! The food of course is always delicious but we had a balloon fiasco where a birthday balloon got loose on the ceiling and the 30hop servers came right to the rescue! Luckily the balloon was saved by the staff & we all were happy with our great meal! Thanks 30hop!😊

Truly, I’ve only had top tier experiences with 30 Hop’s food. While the menu is American, you can still find a great range of options to please a diverse crowd. The portions are generous, and I have yet to have a dish miss.
Having tried the BEST peanut butter noodles I’ve ever had as a part of an event, I took my family back here for a girls dinner! For drinks, the blackberry margarita was fantastic: strong, refreshing, and a good size. My personal choice was the citrus beer, and it was light and sweet.
I ordered the Veggie Mac and Cheese, which was filled with tiny pieces of veggies, and had an indulgent sauce. Creamy, layered, and hella cheesy without being stringy. My cousin had the buffalo version, and enjoyed it immensely. We both had some to take home with us as the portion was large and the dish itself super filling.
The rest of the table ordered an assortment of items: fresh berry salad, a pile chicken tenders thrown in buffalo sauce, and high stacks of French fries. The plain fries were top tier - well seasoned and with a textured crunchy outside. The chicken tender breading was a bit too thick, making it fall off if you cut the tender or took a bite, but the flavor was perfect - spicy without being making you cry.
Considering it was a weeknight, I was surprised to get some slower service, particularly when it came to getting refills of alcoholic beverages, but since the restaurant is new, expect a bit of a lag!

First time eating here, a late lunch so it wasn't crazy busy. Pleasantly greeted by hostess and seated immediately. Promptly welcomed by friendly waitress. Great menu with a plethora of choices: some unique, some standard, but truly something for everyone. The macaroni & cheese with bacon/pork was delicious and portion was large. Tempura shrimp/sticky rice bowl was absolutely a party in my mouth!! Freshest of ingredients, hot crispy tempura-fried shrimp, a tangy creamy dressing - I would order again in a heartbeat! Waitress checked back frequently. A great experience and looking forward to dining there again. (The cocktails and beer choices looked awesome).

We got a reservation and thank goodness, a table for 2 had a 30 minute wait and some people were waiting an hour or more! Super easy online reservation. Waitress was attentive and very nice. Food was bomb, I got the cheesesteak and a side Caesar salad, my s/o had the tenderloin, the only leftovers I had were due to my making the error of not wearing stretchy pants. I'm picky about mushrooms, but left them on the Philly; 10/10 great decision! Fantastic sandwich. Neither of us had alcohol, and our bill was just over $40 which I thought was SO reasonable. Prickly pear lemonade was good, wish they still had the prickly pear Paloma. Hopefully will be back very soon!
