“Have tried a few items on the menu, and all have been excellent. Chimichangas, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Pork Tenderloin - all excellent.Cheese Fries are awesome along with their regular fries. If you get AJ as your server, he is awesome.”
“Just what I needed. Working, bad weather outside, needed lunch. But I HATE Pepsi and that’s all you carry. Then Kayla went above and beyond to locate a Coke in the back. Yay!”
“Food was great, but I left hungry, and will $250 less in my pocketbook. Service was good, but honestly for the price in a strip mall, I just felt like something was missing.”
“Backpocket has always had incredible brews. That being said, today I'm focusing on the pizza. The garden party was pretty decent. The confit garlic pesto was a very nice new twist. I think a little more seasoning would do the red sauce some good tho. Some oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, a hint of red chili flakes? Something. It tasted like someone straight up opened a can of tomato puree and called it good. But the crust and fresh mozz wrer spot on tho. Good cheese pull and a decent looking crust all around. The root beer wasn't bad either. All in all, I would go back. Good bar grub for sure.”
“can't say enough about the dedication of their employees. we recently stayed at the hampton which is connected to them. even during the blizzard of 1/24 they were able to get enough staff to keep it open allowing us the have a cooked meal instead of more hospital cafeteria food. I was even surprised when they had prime rib ready. it was very tasty and not dry and stringy like some have. topped it off with some delicious bread pudding. can't say thank you enough and if we're ever in the area again will be seeing you again.”
“French onion soup was amazing, would definitely go back for that! The Brussels sprouts as a side were kind of flavorless. Salmon was great, I would get that again. I didn't like how many times our waitress came and went from our table without taking dirty dishes away. We had piles of dirty dishes when they brought our entrees out.”
“The service was a little slow, but considering that we were there In the early afternoon on the Tuesday before Christmas, it's totally understandable. You brought our entrées out and got my order wrong, but was quick to remedy the situation, and when it came out, my food was phenomenal. Very hot and fresh. The atmosphere is very cool reminded me of a "new wave" Mexican restaurant. Wasn't busy but there again, were there in early afternoon and it happened to be a Tuesday. But according to some of my friends that live in the IRL, it's never really that busy, so do yourself a favor and head on over there and give them a shot!!! Speaking of which, they do have some really good tequilas as well.”
“Lobster was good,I havent had lobster in so long i forgot how to eat it lol haha. The food was good tho the lobster and steak , it was a good place as well to go and get away from the struggles of the day.Thank you for your time. And a shout out to Pat for taking me there?Kid-friendliness: They got crayonsWheelchair accessibility: People in wheeelchairs can get in”
“We recently enjoyed dinner with friends at Vesta. Our wives chose to have the Mahi mahi which was fantastic. My friend had the pork tenderloin sandwich and was quite impressed. I elected to have a pizza from their brick oven. We were served by Jake, not from State Farm, and he was very knowledgeable of all of the dishes he handled our questions with ease. I enjoyed the Meat-za pizza, it was enough food for two people and I ended up takes half the pizza home. The crust was a thin light crispy crust much like naan. The pizza was sauced lightly with fresh tomatoes, onions and other herbs and spices. The meats were fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend the pizza. We are going to visit again in the near future to try more of their dishes, I want the beef tenderloin. Our only negative experience was the crème brûlée. My wife and I often chose to eat at restaurants that have cb, we are kind of cb snobs. I took one bite of my cb and couldn’t eat any more of it. It was bland at best with very little vanilla flavor and tasted like they forgot the sugar in the recipe. The girls took a bite of theirs and they too turned theirs back. Jake came by, we told him what we thought, he went directly to the kitchen to try it himself. He came back and verified our complaint saying that he thought the chef forgot the sugar when making it. Jake to the ramekins away and removed them from our bill. All in all a great experience less the crème brûlée mishap. We will definitely be back to try a new dish as well as the CB again.”
“Their spaghetti reminded me of my grandmas which is a good thing! It was savory, without a hint of sweetness to it even though I prefer my sauce that way.The pear salad was also good!I will definitely be back!”
“This is great food. You'd expect less from a grocery store grille but they're always made well and tasty options. And the weekend breakfast special made it affordable!Kid-friendliness: Definitely a good environment for taking kids out to eat. Doesn't feel like a stuffy restaurant.Parking: Typical, large grocery store parking lot.”
“Burger was good (go medium). Crisp bacon, GREAT onion strings. Annoying that 13.99 doesn't cover a drink, so Culver's or Freddy's is a better deal, but "back to school kids eat free" made it actually cheaper than even McDonald's. That may be tainting my view.”
“I recently held a luncheon at the Brown Deer Event Center following my father's Celebration of Life Service in Iowa City. I live out of state and contacted the manager, Lee Weber. We took care of the luncheon details seamlessly through email and telephone conversations. The event space is beautiful, and the view from the room and the surrounding balcony overlooking the golf course added to the upscale ambiance. The food and presentation were excellent. I highly recommend considering this property for your next special occasion.”
“I went to Winestyles Tasting Station and was not disappointed. I loved exploring their store and looking at the huge variety of craft beers and wine that they had for sale. I also liked looking at all of their aged cheeses that they had for sale. I tasted some craft beers they had on tap as well as some of their wine they had available for guests to try. I also liked all of the other things in their store (i.e. cutlery for cheese, crackers, gifts for wine and cheese lovers, etc...). What a cool spot!”
“Seated promptly in a recently cleaned booth. Witnessed solid cleaning throughout our stay. Waiter was friendly, polite, and attentive. Although busy, food was served quickly, fresh and hot.”
“I love Konomi! They have some amazing, unique rolls and a great staff!Parking: Parking is available in front of the restaurant on the street or in a free parking lot behind the restaurant.”
“This is an unassuming place. It was EXCELLENT!! SUPER CLEAN!! First time trying African food. We ordered a variety like tripe soup, yam stew with lamb, grilled goat with salad, fufu. It was all so good!! It did take time as there was only 1 person working but it was worth it!! The hibiscus juice was divine!”
