Thai iced tea and crab rangoons to start, then we shared 7 rolls with leftovers: California, Philly, sweet potato, and tempura broccoli rolls, Red Ginger roll, Peanut Special roll, and Snow White roll. Would absolutely stop again if the sushi craving hits on our many trips through Iowa!“
“If I lived in Iowa City, I would give this restaurant 5 stars for its food. I've been visiting Japanese restaurants in Iowa City for many years, and this one is the best for Japanese cuisine in or near the area.Our American friends love the sushi and sake at this restaurant. However, I do find the prices quite expensive. The staff is very friendly and adds to the enjoyable atmosphere.Parking: Limited parking near the restaurant. Free for certain time only. You can drive a few blocks, you can find the spot to park.“
“Been in Iowa for almost a decade, and I keep coming back to Sushiya. The location is small, which enhances the dining experience and service. It's a hidden gem with great sushi and entrées. Personal favorites are the honey roll and any spicy roll. The Singapore noodles and General Tso chicken are also excellent. This place is worth your time and money every time.“
“Husband and I went a few weeks ago. Excited to see Solon has a great sushi and pho place around. We opted for sushi this round but excited to try the pho next. The rolls were excellent and the octopus balls were pretty tasty. Will be coming back again!!“
“This is my favorite place to get poke bowls. The ingredients are always delicious and reasonably proportioned. To top it all off, the presentation is always excellent, they even include a pretty flower atop the dish! Everyone in Iowa City should try this restaurant at least once.“

“My daughter has been wanting to try a sushi restaurant for a while now, and on our trip to Iowa City we ran into Sumo Sushi. we decided to give it a try and it definitely did not disappoint! our server, I think his name is Anthony, did an amazing job guiding us on what to try. our favorite was the shrimp tempura roll! service was fast and very kind. we will definitely be going back soon!“

It's nice to find a good ramen place in Iowa though there are a few in downtown Iowa City it's good to have one out in Coralville. We only have the ramen but I know we'll be back to try some of their other food!“
