Staff was SO friendly!! They were making some beautiful looking smoked whiskey, we did not have it, but we will next time. We drove there from Dubuque just to eat there.
excellent food and service. I was in need of a bowl of good pho, Just coming out of an illness, and they delivered with a nourishing and delicious dish. Highly recommend.
Astonishingly good sushi for a small town in the middle of Iowa. The house rolls were creative and tasty, basic rolls were high quality, and the nagiri was excellent. Highly recommend.

Uncle Sang Sushi & Kitchen in Solon offers excellent sushi and tasty octopus balls. The restaurant has a modern and beautiful interior that does not feel like a typical sushi place. The warm saki and sushi boat are highly praised and big enough for two people. The friendly staff provides good service, even when new. The food is served quickly and is absolutely delicious. This spot is also great for families with a kid-friendly menu. Many guests have shared excitement about trying the pho next time, with specific recommendations for the Pho ga, which is noted for its delicious flavor and well-seasoned chicken. The Bento box and rolls have also received positive reviews. While there have been some concerns about kitchen timing, the overall experience is very enjoyable. This place is definitely a must-visit in the Midwest, and it is worth the drive out to Solon from Iowa City.
