Watermill Kitchen + Bar Reviews
We had an amazing experience at lunch today for our first visit. The grilled cheese and prime rib sandwich were out of this world. Our server, Melissa was so good. She was kind and enthusiastic and just made our day. Great job!
Had a wonderful dining experience at Watermill Kitchen + Bar. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The menu offers a nice variety of American dishes, and everything our table ordered was cooked perfectly.

We had a large gathering for graduation, menu was limited. Wait staff and manager were nice and accommodating. The two young ladies who served our group were professional and friendly and made sure we had a good experience. Thank you.

Watermill Kitchen + Bar is an upscale-themed restaurant within the Hyatt Regency hotel on the Iowa River Landing. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a great atmosphere and perfect service described as top notch, very nice, professional, friendly, and 5-star. The menu is great, offering moderately priced food that is excellent, very good, and great, without being greasy.
Specific highlights include the Iowa Corn Chowder, a chicken sandwich, tenderloin, flatbread peach pizza, rotini pasta, the rib entree with cornbread side, a pork bowl, and desserts like creme brulee, trifle, and bread pudding. The Breakfast Buffet is noted as a great value and very good. Some notes mention the steak entree was a bit small, the monkfish a little bland, the brussel sprouts too greasy, and the Cobb salad over dressed. The beer menu could be expanded. Guests consistently state they will return, recommend it, and give it another shot.
