So Brunch on a Sunday. Menu was limited. Service well there was none. No greeting. Find your own table and hope they stop by (which was to remove the plates) had to go get my own salt, pepper and hot sauce. Ask for ice water was told to go to the front with a glass and ask for ice(wow). Atmosphere well it’s January 25 and Christmas is over. Food was 5 star. Recommend tipping at the table as there is no service. Over all rating a 2

Wonderful experience for DINNER tonight at Barrett’s. They are generally known as a bakery/coffee shop but I have been wanting to try dinner here and so glad we did! Being a cold front in January, it was peaceful and not crowded at all on a Friday. Parking was a breeze. I noticed the chef came out and sat down with a group to help them order. The server was incredibly kind and attentive. She was able to help me pair my delicious Arctic fish entree with a white wine. My partner got the pot roast and it was also very good! The Puppy Chow Sunday for dessert also tasty. Their take on an “old fashioned” was super yummy!
I have also been here for breakfast or coffee a few times and it’s always been a great experience!

Beautiful place, but the customer service needs improvement. The food was okay, nothing outstanding. Overall, a nice atmosphere, but better attention to customers would make a big difference.

Love this place!!

I was passing through Coralville on a cross country move and grabbing coffee in the morning, and the employees were so kind. A manager (or maybe owner) overheard me chatting about my travels and she gave me some free goodies for the drive which was so sweet! The coffee was excellent, as was the pastries and granola. I’d highly recommend visiting this gem!

Barrett's catered our wedding in Dubuque and did an AMAZING job. Amelia, their Event Coordinator, was a pleasure to work with -- she's polite, responsive, accommodating, and professional. The food was great, and the positive reviews from guests poured in after the wedding (esp. for the lemonade and hamburgers). Their catering staff were kind and left the kitchen facilities at the venue spotless post-event. 100% would recommend Barrett's to anyone looking for a wedding or event caterer.

Barrett's is such an unexpected surprise. Fast and friendly service. Delicious and nutritious food. I had the Denver Omelet without the ham—fresh and flavorful. I ordered an espresso latte. It was amazing and comparable to a high-end coffee shop. Thanks for creating such an inspiring experience!

We normally have the best time here but this morning was different. The workers were extremely upset with the level of people in the building. One girl making coffee was arguing with customers and employees. The girl who packaged our food was upset with everyone around her. It was just a lot. Food was great as always.

Absolutely fabulous. Great selection, lovely ambiance and truly midwestern friendly. The baked goods are wonderful, great choices, great tastes. The food menu and drink choices make Barrett’s a really nice place for a range of palates and desires. This visit was my time with a friend and we enjoyed everything. It is the beginning of a long term relationship. We even chatted about food, restaurants, menus and things we like to eat. Really all around nice experience. Top spot for sure!!
