More than a few poor interactions with the Pro shop. Arrogance and rudeness has been a pretty frequent experience. Course layout is great but culture in Pro shop has leaked it's way to the upkeep last few years.

What a beautiful morning !
I recently held a luncheon at the Brown Deer Event Center following my father's Celebration of Life Service in Iowa City. I live out of state and contacted the manager, Lee Weber. We took care of the luncheon details seamlessly through email and telephone conversations. The event space is beautiful, and the view from the room and the surrounding balcony overlooking the golf course added to the upscale ambiance. The food and presentation were excellent. I highly recommend considering this property for your next special occasion.

Awful management. The current manager ran the place into the ground. Used to be a great place to eat until the past few months. Needs new owners and soon. Went a few days ago and I saw a cockroach near my feet. I’m disgusted by this place.

Untrained servers, price and menu inconsistencies
Was excited at online menu as I hadn't been since it was divots, had best spicy catfish sandwich ever was excited had blackened catfish choice and a fish hallibet sandwich sounded so good 4 page menu of choices all sounded amazing....we get there and handed a 1 page menu...none of the same choices online....sad
New ownership. Not impressed. Portions are small. Smallest tenderloin in Iowa. $10 cheese curds about 1 cup worth, and they aren't great. Service was poor this night - had to ask for service. This could be the worst restaurant in Iowa right now. Hope they make quick improvements. Have eaten there 1-2 times a week prior to this. Disappointing changes.
Good pub grub with a beautiful view of the golf course. Wait staff was very attentive.
