Some of the best French onion soup I've ever had in my life, same with the Reuben sandwich, the kraut was very mild and didn't overpower the corned beef at all. Definitely adding this place to one of my regular stops

My first time at Monica's. My wife had been there for lunch a few years ago with a friend Today we had dinner. I had the ribeye steak which was perfectly prepared. My wife had the alfredo pasta. She enjoyed it but it lacked something. She said it could have used a dash of nutmeg. I had a craft beer and she had the bloody mary which was also lacking something. Probably some Worcestershire. Our server was very attentive and took care of us well. The atmosphere is really cool. 40s and 50s style music in the background that wasn't intrusive. Still able to hold a conversation. Definitely a do-over. I may try the fish and chips next time

Stopped in Saturday at 8:40. Solo diner. Ordered a side salad and a pizza. Server was patient as I decided what to order. Had a Caesar salad and pizza. Both very good. I will definitely be back.

I didn’t like the fettuccine sauce. The noodles were a perfect al dente. Atmosphere was enjoyable. I’ll give it another shot but will probably order the pizza. Service kept me satisfied from the bread and butter. The flowers were beautiful!

We have been going to Monica's over the years as we enjoyed 'a step above' restaurant. We were so disappointed in the ambiance and food the last trip. First, the wait staff looked like they were working at a roadway bar, oversized tshirts and ripped jeans. I always thought this restaurant was a step above that. The asparagus was underdone and TOUGH plus the mashed potatoes tasted old. What has happened? I understand off nights but this was like you simply don't care anymore. Disappointed.
I ordered online and chose the stroganoff with roasted red potatoes. The stroganoff was very bland. It seemed like they used canned mushrooms. The roasted red potatoes were not red. They looked like they were re-fired from the day before and were soggy with grease. It's disappointing to spend almost $30.00 on a sorry attempt at stroganoff. It was literally flavorless sauce, cheap egg noodles, a spoonful of sour cream, and chunks of flavorless steak. 22 and vine at the casino has a much better stroganoff.

I am definitely not one to write reviews. Im a server myself and I know that the quality of the food has nothing to do with the servers. I did a to go and every server seemed very nice and welcoming. My food was ready in about 10-15 minutes and I live down the road so I did not let it sit by any means. I opened up my food and I was excited but the flavor was a bit off. My lasagna was really tough, and very oily. I know that pasta sauce does get oily, but it made the whole dish taste very strange. The calamari was okay, nothing crazy. I ate that. I simply couldn’t finish the lasagna because of how it tasted. It just didn't seem fresh. This is my first time trying Monicas since moving to the area, im willing to give it another chance later with a different menu item but for now i feel a bit sick after trying to eat that.
