The food is incredible, the portions are very generous, and the staff is lovely! Cannot recommend this place enough.

This is a little gem that I will DEFINITELY revisit when I'm in Iowa City next. The food was interesting, delicious, flavorful and very generous. It is very hard to find healthy gluten & dairy free...like nearly impossible, but this is all of that and more. Plan for a slow paced dinner to spend time visiting because food made with love takes time.

I lived in Cameroon for a while and this food was absolutely the best I’ve had since actually being in Africa. So delicious! Can’t recommend this place enough. Eating here absolutely made my day.

Have this verrrrrry rude attendant. Oh she’s so rude and doesn’t listen to correction or care about anything. She was so aggressive and to think it was my first time there after a referral from a friend.

Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian appetizers. Our server/chef told us there were no vegetarian options on the menu and no way to make them.

Dietary restrictions: If you're a vegetarian plan on having sweet potato fries or fried plantains.

If you like the taste of free range cat or dog come chow down here. And don't forget to get a doggie bag lol. They are the cats meow.

Absolutely delicious delectable. Wonderful food. If you get a chance, check it out even if it's only one time. But I promise you you'll be back like I was. The restaurant is also extremely unique with an african theme and very beautifully decorated. It's in a nice area with plenty of parking and the people working behind the counter are so kind. Food is fresh and made to order. Highly recommend.

Omg, the food was definitely worth the price! I tried the egusi soup and fufu. I didn’t expect a full serving and I got full after only eating the top portion. It was lovely! The hot sauce spiced it up and I was in food heaven. I definitely took the rest to go. Try the doughnuts if it’s your first time trying it. I wish they had powder sugar or Chocolate syrup served with them. Though, they don’t disappoint.

We had never tried this little neighborhood restaurant and thought we would give it a try. The restaurant was very clean and we were greeted by Felicity, the owner. We let Felicity select a couple of meals for us, as we had never eaten food from Guinea. The wait for our food was long, but well worth the yumminess. I had the Riz au Gras with Red Snapper...delicious but of course had to deal with the bones. Wish it would be filleted next time. The rice was great and flavorful, though we didn't opt for the hot sauce. Our other meal was the Sauce D'arachide which is a peanut sauce dish with either beef, chicken, fish or goat, served with fufu. We opted for the goat, which was tender. The portions were very generous. We will definitely be returning for another home-cooked comfort mealin the future.
