Scratch Cupcakery Coralville

So…these are some of the best vegan cupcakes I’ve ever had in my 16 years of veganism…I know they only offer a single vegan flavor each day, and I wish they would offer more, but damn if that one flavor isn’t always the BEST.

The Scratch Cupcakery food truck came to my town. The prices were good, and the cupcakes were yummy. My favorite was easily the red velvet cheesecake cupcake.

Barely got in the door and was waited on. Very pleasant and helpful staff. I drove from Moline Illinois to get a dozen cupcakes as well as my friend. If we didn't know what filling they had, we just asked, and they told us. Great, flavor. Not over rich in sweetness. Would recommend going and trying a few different ones. I always drive up to buy them since we don't have one here in Illinois.

The only reason for the lower food rating is expectations of consistency. One flavor that is usually on the menu for this day, was not. So I went for my second choice which had half the amount of frosting as usual. I can be flexible but when my backup choices arnt how they usually are it becomes disappointing.

I cannot rave enough about these cupcakes. The variety is amazing, and the flavors are even better. Anything with cheesecake is a winner, and I love all the fruit flavors. The cupcakes are moist, unique, flavorful, beautiful, and all at a good price. There are different flavors available each day, too. You can check the Daily Menu on their site, and typically there are a few random others available as well. The cookies are pretty good too but honestly I can rarely justify getting them when the cupcakes are this amazing.

The cupcakes are to die for. I've never been to a bakery that comes close to this. The flavors are amazing. You can tell by the quality the bakers love what they do. Will definitely be back. Will be raving about this joint to others

I want to start with I never write reviews and have worked in the food service industry myself. I normally love Scratch but todays service left much to be desired.

Got there about 30 minutes after opening and there were no cookies and was told they just didn’t put them in and so I asked how long the wait would be and then they told me they weren’t going to be making any for the day. I could understand if they were only gonna be open for another hour but they literally just opened and were just deciding to not carry/make half of their products for the day. Ended up getting a cupcake and tried to get a fork and napkin to eat it and they were completely out so I had to ask for one which was met with an eye roll.

Went in to pick up some cupcakes for a birthday and never have I ever felt so unwelcome before.The employees were so rude and seemed bothered by our presence. These girls need to be dealt with because this is not acceptable behavior in the service industry… Definitely makes me not want to come ever again!

Absolutely horrible customer service from one worker in particular. One of the workers who initially took our order was very nice and helpful but this other girl was the exact opposite. She had a terrible attitude with us and based on our first impression of her, she does not seem like someone who should be working in the service industry. This was our first time coming to scratch and based on this experience, I don’t think we will be coming back.

Just spent nearly $60 for 3 sets of cupcakes from school fundraisers for your cupcakes. 2 different schools all delivered on the same day as received. What a disappointment. They were stale once they thawed out. When did you change your cupcakes to not have the delicious fillings? I will not order from a fundraiser again, rather I will just give the money directly to the cause
