Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I really wish the workers here were friendlier — every time I come in, they seem a bit stuck-up and unwelcoming. I used to love the chia seed oatmeal pudding, but lately it’s been Extremely soggy every time I order it, even the oats and Sometimes the granola. Even if I eat it right away. The hot food is never quite hot either; the cheese doesn’t melt properly in the middle and it’s just lukewarm at best. This has happened every time I’ve been lately. Gave 2 starts because I know they can be good.

I’ve been to this café in other cities and states and never had these issues — unfortunately, this is the only one near my house, and it’s disappointing to see how the quality and service isn’t up to par.

The staff was great a friendly offered great recommendations. We are new to their menu and didn’t see the combo option until after we had ordered. The shift lead and members helped us sort it all out so we just were able to make a seamless transaction to just pay the difference.

Since I arrived the service was very good, also the food was delicious and healthy, the girl who served me was very kind and special, I think her name is Sigrid R. Without a doubt it is the place where I want to return.

Service at the drive up is very slow. I sat there one night as there was one car ahead of me for over 10 minutes. When I received my smoothie it tasted awful. Tonight I was there again and the smoothie had more ice in it and the flavor just wasn’t right.

I’m reaching out to share a disappointing experience I had recently. My daughter kindly placed a GrubHub order from your location on my behalf, as I was unable to leave the house due to waiting on time-sensitive packages that required signature confirmation. Unfortunately, the order was never delivered to me.

After receiving my packages, I visited the store in person to see if there was any way to resolve the issue. I understand that since the order was placed through GrubHub, Tropical Smoothie may have limited ability to assist with refunds. However, I was disappointed with how I was treated during my visit. I felt ignored and that my concerns were dismissed, which was particularly disheartening given that I hadn’t eaten all day and was already feeling stressed.

I fully understand that mistakes can happen, but the lack of empathy from the staff and the unwillingness to even acknowledge the situation added to my frustration. It’s concerning to me that this kind of experience may reflect poorly on Tropical Smoothie, even if the delivery issue was out of your control.

I hope that in the future, better support and care can be extended to customers when issues like this arise. Thank you for your time and consideration. I and my daughter won’t be doing any business with Tropical Smoothie moving forward.

I asked for a smoothie with only Splenda, and they put in the normal sugar and Splenda so I was not able to drink it. I wish I would have checked before I arrived back home. The workers are constantly gossiping and talking about inappropriate topics. I wish there was a different location close to where I live, because most times I go there is a wait of about 15 minutes to get a smoothie and wrap.

The past two times I have gone to this location my smoothie has been wrong. I get so frustrated because it says on my smoothie what was supposed to be in it and then that’s not how I receive it. My most recent experience I ordered my food. And arrived when it was supposed to be done. Then sat in line for 10 minutes. When it was my turn at the window they handed me the tip screen after I had already paid online and then asked me to pull forward. I said my order was supposed to be done 15 minutes ago and then said “well everyone’s food behind you is done.” Would rather go to power cafe in the rec.

The service was great and the employees were so nice!
Their smoothies and bowls are just sad. They’re not fresh and made from a base. The price is crazy for the amount and lack of freshness.

Save a trip and drive down to the Smash Bar over on Penn if you’re wanting a healthy smoothie or bowl. It’s literally the same price and you’ll get triple the size of a smoothie bowl.
