Not the place to go if you have allergies or food preferences.
We went there and simply asked if it had a certain ingredient in our food, waitress told me she didn’t think so but wouldn’t ask the chef, she then avoided us so when she brought us our food we asked again and they said it was in there but they were going to feed it to us knowing we were allergic. Waitress got mad and started talking about us to the other waitresses and they kept avoiding us. We had to talk to the chef ourself and he remade our food. Tasted wonderful but the service was beyond terrible never experienced anything like it. It’s been a couple months and I still think about it sometimes.
Couldn’t believe they were going to feed us something they knew we were allergic too and just walked away like it was nothing. Could have been a serious situation.
Then to talk about us amongs the other ladies and as we were leaving one of the waitresses told us to have a good night and the other girls around her laughed and congratulated her like it was a hard thing to say bye to us as we were leaving.
We were very polite and kind just asked a couple questions and the waitress got irritated with us instantly like she had never been asked a question like that before.
I’ve seen crotchety people be rude to servers and we could have easily been that way but we were extremely soft, kind, and understanding that it’s inconvenient to ask questions sometimes.
Not to mention it was not a busy night there.

We love how they have a chef's menu and use ingredients that are seasonal. All items that we have had over that past visits have been delicious and filling. Always look forward to their weekly menu posts. If the Korean Pork belly is on there, then that is a definite must.

Excellent service. Strip steak was fantastic as was the potato and salad. Great drink menu with some creative specialty drinks. Drove an hour to get there and will do it again. Reservation recommended.

We were in Corning for the day. Other business owners in town recommended Primrose for lunch. Boy, am I glad we tried it!!! It had to be the best burgers we’ve ever had!! Amazing! We will drive back to eat here again!!!

I travel alot for work. My company brought in several folks from all around the country and many of us at some point visited this establishment. We all came to the same conclusion that the food was amazing. The service was great. For a small town in SW IA this is without a doubt the best option if you're looking for quality dining experience.

Mesnt to put this review out awhile ago. For this being a small town restaurant, they had some of the best food I have ever eaten.
The atmosphere was amazing our host and the owner were fantastic snd practiced great hospitality.
The food tasted fresh.
Would highly recommend stopping by and having a meal here if your are driving through!!

We stopped here before the football game and I was mind blown with how good the food was! I have not had a steak that good in so long! The chopped salad was something I will be craving on a daily basis! The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the service was quick! I thought Johnny Carson was the most memorable thing to come out of this town until I had the garlic butter and steak from primrose!! We will absolutely be back again! Major props to the talented and amazing chef!!
Favorite place for the Family and I to eat at. No use of ever going to a neighboring town. I love everything about the place. If you haven’t been there, it’s worth the trip. The food and atmosphere is second to none. You might want to make a reservation.

My fiancé and I had date night here on Saturday. We drove from Creston, and while we have been before, I wanted to make sure to share a review on our experience. Everything was absolutely magnificent. The food was perfect and so delicious. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. Even though there was a slight hiccup with our ticket, they bent over backwards for us and we have never been happier. Thank you Primrose. You are such a little piece of heaven in our home of Iowa!
