Great staff and amazing food. The Korean BBQ wings are amazing and my steak is always cooked perfectly. Not to mention the bourbon butter - weak in the knees.

Visiting from Washington state and was completely blown away. The food, the wine, the ambiance and the service was incredible. Highly recommend!

I came to Corning for 2 weeks for work and this was my favorite place to dine. I stopped multiple times and everything I had was delicious. I love that their menu changes weekly, it was exciting to come in and try something new. The first time I stopped I had the chicken and risotto which tasted like a home cooked meal. The second night I had the Primrose chopped salad and it was so good I've been trying to figure out how I can make a version at home. I had 2 different flat breads that were both great and had leftovers to take for lunch. I got a variety of desserts too which were delicious. I couldn't believe a place like this exists in this part of Iowa, but I was ecstatic that it did! The staff was all friendly and Jill remembered me every time I came in which was appreciated when you're away from home! The space is nice too, the bar is large and has ample seating. I might just take a trip out here again just for Primrose! Such a culinary delight.

I have been a longtime fan and supporter of Primrose, but the terrible service is a bit too much. We arrived at 6, was told a 30-40 minute wait, which was fine. We returned and waited an additional 50 minutes to get seated. I have no issue with waiting, especially on busy nights and no reservations, but to get treated poorly and have poor food was too much. Finishing the night off listening to the owners/staff openly complain and talk poorly towards guests while the restaurant was still open/partially full completely turned me off from returning for an extended period of time. Primrose has been a favorite for years now, and a staple for SW Iowa, it’s sad to see it like this.

My wife and I were on a drive out in the country recently and decided to stop at Primrose for some lunch, it was a great experience, so I thought I'd drop a quick review. Primrose sits right on the main street in the nice little town of Corning, Iowa. The restaurant was very nice, as were all of the staff. The place was extremely busy, which is always a good sign. The room is very nice, and has an open kitchen in the back and a very well stocked full bar along one side. The menu was pretty small, which is my only real complaint, I would have liked to see more selections, but I get not wanting to have a huge menu, and just doing a select number of items and doing them really well. I ordered the hot Honey chicken sandwich with fries and my wife had a cheeseburger and fries. Both were delicious, but special mention goes out to this chicken sandwich, it was amazing. Tangy, but not too spicy, and cooked perfectly, highly recommended. The burger was also really good, just a classic all American burger with some really crispy and tasty fries. We shared a caramel apple bar with a caramel drizzle on top, it was excellent, perfect dessert for a fall day. Overall an extremely enjoyable meal

We made a reservation today and we were on our way and the owner declined us even though we had set it up ahead of time. We drove from another town and they just told us, no we're not severing you.

Drove over from Omaha with my daughter for lunch. Worth it! Original burger is delicious. Got an egg on top. Finished off with a yummy lemon bar. Miss Joel from the Lot 2 days. I’ll be back in Corning for dinner soon.

We had the great delight of eating at Primrose on a recent trip through Corning. It was so good, we came back the next night, too. Margaritas were wonderful. Roasted chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and sweet corn was full of flavor -- melt-in-your-mouth delicious! The pork steak with a farro-cranberry-almond side dish was absolute heaven!
