About Tacos El Gordo

Tacos El Gordo on the Las Vegas Strip is a must-visit for authentic Tijuana-style tacos. This no frills taco place is extremely popular, so be prepared to queue. The vibe is lively, and guests can watch them at work while queuing. Everything is made fresh, so the wait is shorter once you place your order. The amazing smells of the meats all being grilled, cooked, and charred over fire are impressive. Their Al Pastor spits are in huge cookers with flames blowing at a hi-rate up the back.

Each type of taco has its own line, so choose your meat wisely or split up with friends to try more. The suadero tacos exceed expectations, and the tripe, tongue, and pastor are very delicious. The adobada tacos are a standout, sliced fresh from the trompo, and the handmade corn tortillas add authenticity. The beef taco is very tasty, and the fish tacos are amazing. The meats are perfectly marinated and seasoned, and the toppings are so fresh and tasty. Tacos are around $4 each, which feels a bit pricey for the size, but the freshness and quality make it worth it.

Service is excellent, friendly, and helpful. Go early to avoid the crowds, and don’t skip the horchata—it’s refreshing and pairs perfectly with the spicy salsas. Overall, a delicious spot for a quick, authentic taco fix on the Strip. Highly recommend.

Tasty Tacos - Be Prepared to Queue
No frills taco place where you can watch them at work while queuing. It was a long wait as this place is extremely popular. Shorter wait once you place your order as everything is made fresh. Definitely worth stopping by. Staff may not all speak English but they do a good job so you can order.

I got here right as they opened for the day, being the 2nd person in the door once they opened. Within minutes, they were packed! I stood in the first line for Al Pastor, but waited about 5 mins and they never started serving from there, so I went all the way down to the second one and there were a few people in front of me, which...read full review
