Applebee's Grill + Bar

Stopped at this Applebee's on Elmore after a day of shopping. My steak was amazing so tender and flavorful! The service was great, manager even came out to ask us how everything was. Nice atmosphere at dinner time. My youngest daughter even asked if we can come back every weekend! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

From the manager Josh, to my server/bartender Brianna including the kitchen staff who prepared my food, this was the best experience I could hope for. Brianna made sure my food was served exactly the way I asked. The kitchen staff prepared my food exactly the way I ordered it!
And Josh was as kind as he was accommodating! This Applebee's is by far & away the better of the 2 Applebee's in Davenport, Iowa & I don't mind a little extra driving for the extra goodness this Applebee's provides!!

On Jan 14 we met friends for lunch at restaurant.Food & service were good. Ask waiter if they could turn up heat. Manager came out said couldn't turn thermostat up. Company had it locked. We had to put on winter coats to eat. Felt like we were eating outside. Noticed waiter's were wearing a heavy sweater over top of their outfits. Food was not hot. Alot of customer never took off coats. We will never return if they don't care about customer comfort.

6 servers sitting, eating, socializing and not worried about the customers whatsoever. Decided to sit myself @ the bar had an awkward experience with bartender Tabitha M. She was apart of the group that was sitting down, she seems like she showed up to work with the intentions to not server food or make drinks. And she gave our food to us in To go boxes when we were clearly there to eat in and have some drinks.

Food is always good quality. Staff is efficient and friendly.

Food was great but I can’t say the same about the service. Came here last night around 6/7ish with my girlfriend and the first thing the host said (who was also our waitress)was “how many for you ladies today?” I found that kind of annoying bc I’m a guy I just have longer hair. But I feel like she did it to be malicious which was weird and she did it throughout the entire visit. I didn’t even get a chance to correct her bc she only checked on us a total of twice and was not kind when she did and would walk away very quickly. My girlfriend asked for ranch for our appetizer and the server went and stood in the corner talking to other servers (it looked like a manager was over there too, the restaurant had a total of two tables in it ) for about 10 mins before she walked back to a different table and I tried to get her attention to which she straight up ignored me. She eventually came back and said she “forgot” the ranch . The food was good at least but her attitude and service was horrible, and that’s coming from someone who works in food service. This girl did not like us at all and she let us know it! If you can’t handle being kind or mature to people when they have done nothing wrong, then don’t work in the service industry. I like coming here so I hope I don’t get her as a server again, probably just going to stick to the moline one.

Update: Applebees GM got in touch & offered a meal at a different location. We had lunch at west Kimberly and Michelle was great. Was the only waitress and the hostess and was very attentive. I feel good about the effort the company made to make up for the bad experience. Thank you all for showing us Iowa Nice!

Previous 1 star: Service was not good. I understand she stated she was understaffed but I’m still a paying customer who didn’t even want to finish my water because I was scared I would never get a refill. I had to grab my own a1 from the bar and all in all was just not a good experience wish we would have taken our money else where. I felt like I was at a fast food place.
