Beautiful & great foo, the only reason I didn't give 5 star is we had to wait about 20minutes when we had reservations & our table was free the entire time.

Our table ordered a steak, large pork chop, sea bass , and lamb chops. All were beautifully prepared and delicious. When they told my husband that they were out of sirloin, they apologized and offered him a glass of wine or a desert for his inconvenience of changing to another cut of steak. Our server was attentive without hovering. We would definitely go back for dinner.

We had a lovely dinner at Big Bistro. It was nice to be in a quiet restaurant and not have to talk over loud music or TVs. Our server was very attentive. Cocktails and food were delciious. We will be back.

Always consistent in providing quality food and service. The table arrangements and seating are not comfortable.

There was an unfortunate miscommunication issue between kitchen, the server, and our party of 4. I ordered the orange duck. Kitchen apparently did not communicate to the server that only one portion of duck was remaining and gave it to another party and then the server brought out the other three meals and THAT'S when I was told they were out of duck. They offered to prioritize an alternate item for me...and I believe they also offered to comp my meal, but everyone else would have been done eating by the time I received my entree so I declined. In lieu of that option our cocktails were comped. My husband and I have been patrons on other times and service was excellent. Our BIGGEST complaint was the atmosphere. There was a large party of men (baseball coaches for a traveling baseball team). They were drinking heavily and extremely loud making conversation difficult and their children RAN through the dining area screaming and their parents did NOTHING to control their behavior. Bistro staff did NOTHING to abate the situation so apparently they didn't care about the rest of the restaurant having a peaceful meal.

We dined at Bix Bistro in Davenport to celebrate our wedding anniversary, drawn by its reputation and upscale atmosphere. The food truly lived up to expectations, served hot, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary champagne to mark the occasion. That gesture did not go unnoticed, and we are sincerely grateful. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of what we had hoped for. Service throughout the evening was inconsistent, at times slow and inattentive, which dimmed what should have been a relaxing and celebratory night. More significantly, the atmosphere was disrupted by a group of unsupervised young children running through the dining room, playing loudly and even engaging in games of tag. We mentioned this to the staff, but no action was taken, and we eventually had to request to be moved to another table. Even then, the noise continued to detract from the ambiance and made it difficult to enjoy our time together. We truly enjoyed the meal and recognized the kitchen's excellence, but the lack of response to disruptive behavior and the inattentive service left us disappointed. Bix Bistro has all the makings of a premier dining destination, we hope future guests can enjoy it under better circumstances.

We arrived right on time for our table of two and were placed at a table for six. For one drink and one burger it took over an hour to eat. Our water glasses were never refilled, and it was a major effort to get the attention of the weight staff to get our check.

Staff told us we did not need a token to get out of the parking lot as the gate would be open so they did not give us a token. But when we left, we found the gate down and we had to get help to get out.

Mom and dot dinner. Nice drink menu and drinks were very tasty. We split a Caesar side salad which was more than two servings and lettuce was fresh but it could have used more dressing. I asked for mashed potatoes w steak instead of the roasted potatoes but entree still came w roasted potatoes. I asked again for the mashed potatoes which were delicious and delivered promptly but they were added to our bill. Choc torte for dessert which was very rich and very firm. Didn't love it.

Everything on the menu is excellent. A bit pricey but a great place for a special night out!

Bread was day old stale bread. Very hard and didn't melt the butter. Chicken and steak didn't seemed to be seasoned enough to taste. And broccoli wasn't cooked all the way and couldn't even cut it with my fork. $83 is outrageous for the food was served.

We went for New Years Eve. I didn't realize it would be a fixed menu for $150 per person. Although good, it wasn't great and not worth the $150. But it was nice and quiet and the ambiance was nice.

Starter salmon dip took 40 minutes to produce. Dinners took almost an hour more, The duck dinner was too tough to cut with a steak, knife. The Seabass dinner was still frozen at the center. Both were replaced with Seabass dinners, very hot, but much smaller than the original frozen one.

The food was horrible! My husband got the New York strip & it was extremely tough & chewy! Mashed potatoes were ice cold. I had bacon wrapped scallops-tough, chewy & cold! Very expensive in which We are ok with the price if the food is worthy! Server was very good & apologetic!
