City Loafers Reviews
My family and I were very well accommodated by Colleen (manager) and Erica (server/bartender) for what was an amazing area to host a graduation dinner for family and friends. This private, elegant area would also make a great space for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, etc. I was obsessed and we were so so lucky to have exceptional service for a short-notice event. We enjoyed the broad selection of drinks from the bar and the delicious food. My favorites were the Mo’ Dough...read full review
Great breakfast! Located in the Current Iowa Hotel.
The food was mediocre at best and the service was terrible. The appetizer came out the same time as our meal, had to ask for a refill, and there was no good flavor. City Loafers offers a cool space with a simple, diverse menu. The Fowl Play sandwich is fantastic, served with house-made ciabatta and delicious house chips. The atmosphere is welcoming, with great service from Dakota, who makes guests feel at home. The restaurant also provides an elegant area that is perfect for events like graduation dinners, bridal showers, and rehearsal dinners, as noted by recent guests. Whether it's for a late breakfast or lunch, City Loafers remains a quiet, beautiful spot to enjoy a fantastic meal and friendly chat with the staff. However, some recent feedback indicates that there have been changes to the menu that have disappointed longtime customers, particularly regarding the charcuterie board. Despite this, many still enjoy the broad selection of drinks from the bar and the overall dining experience.
