“Just got home from a wonderful evening at Cavort. We started with a drink and a beer. Both were excellent. Moved on to the nachos. We were going to eat half and take the rest home. None came home and they were fabulous. Had chicken piccata and PT chicken; both were beyond expectations. Topped things off with the caramel cake; awesome! Best meal ever in Davenport! Our waitress was so special as well. We will be returning soon. Thanks to our son for the gift card and for supporting the owners/his friends!“

“Only good thing about this place is the view. Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I spent more time waiting for my beer than being able to sit down and enjoy my time. 10+ minute wait for a beer with only 5 People around the bar is pretty ridiculous. Needless to say I was pretty upset by the end of the night.“

“Legit my favorite restaurant back in the QC, but they might want to think about finding someone else to answer the phones. Just tried ordering lasagna for our family Christmas this weekend and the woman rudely tells me to “HANG ON A MINUTE!” So I hold, she picks back up and there’s another line ringing in the background and I hear her say, “I can’t do this right now!” And hangs up on me. Guess we’ll figure something else out 🤦🏻‍♂️“

We had good conversation and let me tell you the Chicken dinner special on Wednesday nights is no joke. The chicken was amazing and the sides were great too. “The food is so delightful and creative. I don't think J Bar gets enough attention as one of the best QC restaurants. Perhaps because it is connected to a hotel, it gets overlooked.
I had shrimp and grits which was every bit as good as that I have had in the south. My friend had the chicken thigh entree which he said was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Cocktail are wonderful.“
