Flip's Pancake House - Utica Ridge

We were on a road trip and I looked for a breakfast spot with booths. I literally picked this place because it had booths. Once we get there after driving all night and are really looking forward to sitting in comfort, they wouldn’t let us sit at the booth even though there were two available. The server was not friendly and it took her 7 minutes to come take our order. The food looked pretty, but tasted like garbage. The crepes were mushy and seemed like they were made of some sort of spongy wheat flour material. No thank you.

It was packed Sunday brunch time. Still service was good and the food was great.
Order anything and I'm sure you will leave very full and satisfied. Banana Foster French toast was awesome.

Flip Pancakes in Iowa will always be known in our family as the home of the “No Miss Meal.” Every item that my husband ordered was a home run. It was enough food for two people to eat for two days. The pickup process was a breeze. The food was very delicious and the temperature was just right.

The food was incredible. Even the kid’s meals looked so good and fresh - berries, fluffy eggs, toast. I got the strawberry cheesecake crepes and they are the best crepes I’ve ever had. My husband got the streak and eggs and it all came out perfectly. We also ordered a Mickey Mouse pancake breakfast (kids meal) and the kids’ chicken strips. All of our food was amazing. The service is quick, and our waitress was super friendly. We are out of town but I would make this a stop every time we are headed this direction. Highly recommend!

Absolutely one of the best omelets I have ever had. Fresh squeezed oj, freshest fruit, and fluffy pancakes!
Granddaughter had crepes and loved them aside from being a touch too sweet. We had enough food for 4 people. Our waitress, Faith, was very pleasant and smiling all the time.
Looking forward to going back!!
