I don't eat French toast often in the morning cos it's sweet but really love the French toast here because it's barely sweet, and cooked well.

What a gem. We travelled here for a 50th birthday. Ate here the following morning before heading home, it is absolutely delicious. And a lot of food. Highly recommend.

Flips definitely has good breakfast. Four of us have been here at least a couple of times and it’s constantly good. This trip I had their chicken and waffle. It was served hot and was clearly cooked with care. The fresh squeezed orange juice is delicious. All up, breakfast for four was just over eighty bucks, $100 tipped.

Today went to the Utica Ridge location for first time. Only about 3 tables with people. 3 staff gathered at front counter. Taken to our table right away. Reviewed menus. Sat and sat for probably 15 minutes for someone to come and take drink order. Temperature was chilly. Server had the personality of a mouse- I inquired about upgrading pancake to specialty pancake and she said could not do that could only do pancake with various fruits. So I ordered whole serving of specialty pancakes - s’mores. Yum right?($15). No —- only top pancake had all the goodies (stack of 3) others had a few marshmallows. Dryyyyy. I would have paid half for just the top pancake. Needless to say I took one bite and took rest to go. Very disappointing. The best staff there was the person who circulated to fill my coffee. The only one with a smile. I would not go back to this location. The Competition Dr is the best location in my opinion. There are great breakfast places in Chicago where you can upgrade side pancake to specialty pancakes -you may want to consider this. Some of us like a “little” treat every so often.

Ordered the southwest skillet. It was super delicious. My daughter ordered the classic breakfast. Came with a lot of eggs and the pancakes are fantastic!

The cinnamon roll pancakes are so decadent and delicious it feels like it should be illegal. The carnivore omelette was the perfect dose of morning protein to balance out the sugar coma from the pancakes. Don't sleep on this place, it's phenomenal.

We were on a road trip and I looked for a breakfast spot with booths. I literally picked this place because it had booths. Once we get there after driving all night and are really looking forward to sitting in comfort, they wouldn’t let us sit at the booth even though there were two available. The server was not friendly and it took her 7 minutes to come take our order. The food looked pretty, but tasted like garbage. The crepes were mushy and seemed like they were made of some sort of spongy wheat flour material. No thank you.

Fun place with fancy coffee delicious breakfast and great service! Try the bananas foster French toast! Soo good!
