The ambiance of GC is great but todays Easter brunch was terrible. Unknowingly, we have a gluten free eater that requires certain foods. The normal menu offers this but when asked if we can order a meal the answer was no. Moving on... the hash-browns were swimming in grease, the sausage gravy tasted off, the eggs were saturated with cheese and the fat cap on the prime rib was enormous, gross. Never again! We were better off dining at McDonalds. For a restaurant that claims to be on the higher end, you should be experts in dietary needs with gluten free/Vegan and so on listed on the chalkboards. Just because we live in the QC Area doesn't mean some have these issues. All I can say is we will remember this awful Easter meal for a life-time.

Even with a reservation it took forever to get seated. There were 4 young girls up at the front desk trying to figure out how to get people to their tables. I let it go at the time because it is Easter and they were busy for their brunch. It took a really long time for our server to even come to our table to take our drink orders. We got coffee and waters. No cream was brought with the coffee, had to ask for that. It was served to use in a sauce dish with no way of pouring it without making a mess. The brunch was sub par for the price of $35 per person. The bacon was barely cooked which is nasty. My husband got an eggs Benedict made and there was literally HALF of an eggshell still attached to his egg on the muffin. They no longer have a pastry table which is something they still advertise. We asked about it and the server told us they had brownies in the kitchen that they PORTION control. We asked for some and they were BURNT on top. They also are supposed to serve you cinnamon rolls. We had to ASK for these as well. He served them to us DRY and had to go back to get the sauce to put on top. I paid $160 for 4 people and I would say it was worth HALF of this as best. Not to mention, I just read that this restaurant is facing a TON of health violations. Had I known, I never would have gone. BEWARE PEOPLE, find somewhere else to spend your hard earned money. This place has gone DOWN HILL since the last time I ate there.

The last time we made reservations 9:00am at Granite City, the doors were still locked at 9:05am and the parking lot was empty other than our vehicles, so we left. They marked us down as a no call - no show to the reservation website. This time we had reservations at 10:00am and they called the night before to make sure we were still planning to be there. When we got there today, we waited for one of the four people behind the counter to acknowledge us for about 5-10 minutes. They were all trying to figure out the computer which required a 5th person at one point. We were eventually seated and the waitress took our drink order and we made our way to the buffet. The waters came out pretty quickly but the bottomless mimosas took quite a while. I asked for a mimosa refill. The waitress came back about 5 minutes later and asked if we were done, no mimosa refill, and I was on my way to get a second plate. After finishing that plate, the refill came. The manager came to our table, crouched down and asked how our meal was. "It's been ok." He then said we'd been there for an hour and they had another reservation so we needed to leave. There were several empty tables and we hadn't even been given a check. The waitress came up right after the manager left and asked what was said to us. We told her and she gave us our checks right away. She advised us that we could just skip the survey at the end of paying. The food was great but the service made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We're looking for a new brunch spot, if anyone has recommendations.

Fantastic service. Great waitress.Food is expensive. $9.50 for a small slice of refrigerated carrot cake is kind of high.Check out their health inspection report. March 21st lots of bad news. Wouldn't have ate here if we had read in advance.

Granite City Food & Brewery, 5270 Utica Ridge Road, Davenport - During a March 21 visit, the restaurant was cited for 10 risk-factor violations. The inspector reported finding a moldy carton of half & half in a cooler; raw pork that was stored above cooked prime rib inside a walk-in cooler, risking cross-contamination; and a "bag of chicken" that was stored on top of lettuce inside a cooler, creating a risk of cross-contamination. Also, the compressor lines inside the walk-in freezer were leaking fluid onto boxes of food; meat loaf on the grill was placed on a plate for customers at only 110 degrees and had to be reheated to 165 degrees to ensure safety, and one of the coolers was holding food at 49 to 53 degrees rather than 41 degrees or colder. Also, the marinara sauce had no date markings to ensure freshness and safety; rice and jambalaya inside a cooler had been held for more than the maximum of seven days and had to be discarded; raw beef was found in a sink, sitting in standing water; fruit flies were observed in the bar area; the floors in several areas with marred by what the inspector called "debris and gunk" and were in poor condition; and an ice machine was leaking water that was running out the back door.

My party had attended the Sunday brunch. I will give props to the cook and the waitstaff, as the food was excellent and our waitress had her running shoes on to serve our's and several other full tables. However, our dining experience was severely hampered by the seating. The end cap booths have no protection or pony walls at the end. These end booths are at the end of the buffet lines. Other restaurant patrons would use our booth at a rest post, pushing in the back of the booth and jarring us as we were attempting to enjoy our meal. Some rude patrons even rested their elbows on my wife's head. We legitimately had to raise our voices on at least four separate occasions because patrons physically invaded our space, not counting all the times our booth was rocked and we chose not to say anything...nor did the buffet cook who watched this repeatedly occur.Again, I want to state that the food is excellent, however, I will not return until the buffet setup is changed or the dining area is redesigned.

Resturant was almost empty and they set us as far away from buffet as possible, took waitress 15 minutes to take drink order and didn't return to check on weather we would like anything or how quality was. didn't even return to get us our check we had to go to counter to pay. Manager should be ashamed of how she operates .

We came during Happy Hour. Five of us attended and we all had Build a burgers (chicken) prepared in a variety of ways and we were all pleased. We also shared appetizers. The Chicken Margherita Pizza was very good. The Pretzels were good too but we thought the beer cheese that came with it was too runny. My mom in law really likes the French Onion Soup. The bill for the 5 of us which included a sufficient tip was less than $120 and we all had at least 1 drink. The service seemed a bit slow because the kitchen made the wrong pizzas initially and also it took a while to get our drinks initially but our waitress was very nice and attentive, helpful and informative. she checked on us frequently.Happy hour is highly recommended.

Here is to a restaurant that has the market covered. They are surrounded by motels so they do not have to care about service or food.Explanation (management and staff did not realize that an elderly woman had lost her direction in the restaurant and they were not willing to help My wife stepped in and helped her find her partySecondly, ordered food was told they did not have what we ordered replaced it with something for less and still charged the exact same amount. And thirdly, it shows they removed my first post about this restaurant, and I will keep posting this until it stays on their page. If I could have given them a zero star I would have but all you can give them is a one star I will suggest that you eat anywhere else with many more options around.

Went for noon lunch on Tuesday, not busy but did not get any drink for first 15 min because was told the bartender was eating lunch. Finally out came 2 glasses of wine and 5 min later the the Bloody Mary's came out with no celery stalk. That in my mind was unprofessional. The food was good.
