Did NOT have the crab legs on Saturday night

Donna Francisco

Edit: The following week after I posted this concern I left a voice message for the Manager in regards to their response back to me. As of today I have never received a return call from Robert’s Buffet. Very disappointed yet again!!

First time there and very disappointed with whomever is in charge of preparing the food!! Meats were over cooked and cold. The majority of the cooked veggie selections were not appealing. The best part of the buffet was the cut up fruit and dessert. Way over priced for lack of quality. On a positive note the staff was nice and the place was clean. But we would not recommend this buffet!!

Roberts buffet has gone downhill so far that I would recommend closing the place. It used to be such a great place to eat too. It's a crying shame. Went there last night. Took my wife, it was her first time there. I was a little embarrassed to say the least. There's wasn't much of a selection. And what was being offered was obviously aged and mostly dried. I paid $33 each for her, my son and myself. Our waitress!? The only time we seen her was when she asked us what we wanted to drink. We had 6 plates sitting on our table as she walked by. She looked and kept going by as she converse with another employee. I'm generally a big tipper. But I didn't leave her a single cent for a tip. Just awful! I recommend closing the place!

Wasn't impressed a lot of the food was decent some of it was cold and the prime rib was absolutely terrible so overcooked

Horrible food and WAYYY overpriced. It costs over $80 for two.

Hubby said his crab legs, which are just the tiny dungeness crab legs, were boiled so long they all but evaporated and were overseasoned. I tasted one, and to me it tasted more like the metal pot one might have boiled it in.

Fried foods were like rubber.

Cucumber and tomato from the salad bar were chopped into tiny bits so small you would have to use a spoon.

Creme Brule was NOT Brule at all. Not sure what it actually was but...gross.

You could taste the factory processed flavor of the desserts.

Absolutely gross low quality. McDonalds would have been a better choice.

We went on a Sunday morning. The buffet opens at 10:00 am. They did have a huge selection. Breakfast foods, Chinese food, prime rib, kielbasa, ham, fruit, salad, cheese and so many desserts. The Bacon and sausage links were delicious. I did try their prime rib. I didn't like it. There was no flavor. I felt bad for wasting it. Their cheesecake and soft serve ice cream were great. They do have Coke products, coffee, chocolate milk, orange juice, and they sell beer. There are servers that get your drinks for you. They have Splenda. I was really happy that they offered sugar free maple syrup and sugar free Jello. It is pretty expensive. It was $30.00 per adult. That did include a drink. It was very clean.

Don't bother with ths buffet. The food was cold and tasteless. I left numerous calls and management never returned one call.

Buffets or buffets but they charge you like this buffet is something better and it's not the current meat is always the cheapest you have to get a chainsaw to cut it desserts are okay but $30 for that type of buffet it should be more like 15

After seeing all of the negative reviews, I wanted to stop by again and write a review giving a positive outlook.

I’m sorry, but I can’t!
‘They’ are right!
This buffet was extremely disappointing!

I’ve never gone thru a buffet and only got a half filled plate! Well, I have now. Worst of all? The pan with the potatoes, corn, crayfish(?), and mussels. The VAST majority of the mussels were COMPLETELY empty shells with literally nothing in them! When I brought it to the attention of the person behind the counter, I was told that after sitting there (on the buffet line) the meat would fall out and/or people would pick thru the dish and remove the meat from the shell. While possible, I have a hard time imagining people standing at the buffet line, scraping out the meat while in the buffet line… out of nearly ALL of the shells. Even if that’s a realistic scenario, I was in the buffet shortly after it had opened (well before 4:00). There were neither that many people there yet and the dish hadn’t been sitting out that long yet! It turns my stomach to think that the dish may have just been reheated leftovers and it makes me wonder what other items were similarly treated! It also amazes me that, as they were blaming their customers (seriously?!?!?) that I had to point out that ‘they’ aren’t the ones working the buffet line… that the individuals I was speaking to were… and that they should do something about all of those empty shells. They started removing them (not the dish, but hand picking the individual shells out of the dish while it was still sitting on the buffet line) but it was also disappointing that I had to be the one to suggest that they do something about it.

Rhythm City / Robert’s: Is this really the perception that you want your customers to leave with?

Terrible experience. Food was horrible. Nothing was cooked well, flavors were bland and everything looked or tasted like it was frozen food poorly reheated. Can't believe this place costs $30 (and more for crab legs). I've had better food at Golden Corral. Pretty sure we got food poisoning as we were sick that night and all next day.
