quit using pre shredded cheese.

Was very surprised at how full it got over a short time.. especially with many other places to have tacos. Rudy's is a staple in the quad cities. So I believe it's loyalty

Wanted to order 10 orders of enchiladas and freeze them to take home on a long trip and the uneducated manager of the early shift refused to do this even though I did this 3 times prior even refused payment up front!! The OWNER SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HER!!

Ordered DoorDash w them tonight for my family, they only gave the driver half the food. So I call door dash, get a credit and order it again. So how the hell for the 2nd time I order they only give HALF the food again.. door dash refuses to comp me a 2nd time bc it’s an issue with the restaurant. I called them & the manager they have available has ‘no authority to fix anything’ bc she’s not a GM. wtf is the point of paying her the extra few dollars if she can’t fix anything? So a 2nd time tonight I get to choose who gets to eat & who doesn’t. Yall should have kept the west end location open and closed this one. At least in the west end people aren’t that surprised when someone can’t read. I can assure you that after 16 years working in restaurants, it is NOT that hard to read a ticket and bag food accordingly. I also know that there is no point in giving an employee a raise and the title of a manager if they can’t be trusted enough to appropriately fix issues that occur. Do better or yall will be closed in no time in this economy where eating out regularly is a luxury for most families. We won’t be wasting $ here anymore.

Recommendations: Come to this Rudy’s. It’s always busy, but not so much that you can’t get seats. We were a group of 7 and were sat right away. I’d recommend the chicken and rice.

Food: We got two hard taco shells that were stale, but someone else with us had fresh ones. Sometimes stuff happens.

Service: Our waitress was working lots of tables. She stayed on top or our drinks and we very polite.

Building: The place is normal sized for a restaurant.

Bathroom: the bathrooms were clean.

Parking: Plenty of parking.

We've been in Davenport for a while and finally decided to try out one of the Rudy's since there are quite a few in the Quad Cities. Was surprised that it was a full on restaurant and not just a taco place. The food was good but not great. About on par for the restaurants in this area. Kind of bland. It is what it is.

Margaritas were straight syrup. Dirty tables everywhere and nobody to seat us. Someone in our group got a Corona that was 2 months past the date on the bottle. Don't expect authentic Mexican food here.
