When I go to an upscale restaurant I expect a dress code. There is no excuse for wearing or allowing t-shirts and work jeans on either men or women. Three of the four tables around us were dressed like it was McDonald’s.

Enjoyed it all. Food, drinks, staff, views. Lobster tails ran $160 for the two. Bread service, two soups, two lobster tails and split 6oz filet worked out well for two of us.

Very disappointed in Ruthie last wed. We patronize Ruthie’s often and had friends in from Canada and bragging on how great everything is at our favorite dinning restaurant in the QC. Big mistakes that night, service was poor, food over cooked and cold. But the worst part was that we waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food and it cost me $300 plus for the four of us. Took off dessert from our bill, only had two. Poor showing for our guess and ruined our night out.

Service was poor and the food was only… okay. Cold baked potato, overcooked lollipop filet bites… which is understandable sometimes and you can get over it with good, accommodating service. Not the case. Salads at the same time as the entrees too. Two experiences like this now and we won’t be back.

Stopped by to have a steak after visiting the casino floor. Didn’t have a reservation; no problem, seat available at the bar. Got my drink and complimentary bread basket and butter/oil spreads. Very appreciative. Ordered my steak; didn’t come out in 20 minutes so I cancelled my order and left the establishment. Very disappointing.

Service was very slow. Our waitress was too busy chit chatting with a lady 2 tables behind us. Waited 20 minutes for bread and our drinks while people that just were seated received theirs pretty much right away. Finally received our food and our steaks were cold. My wife and I preferred ours medium and hers came out rare. We didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to be there forever. We ordered the cake for dessert and took a bite and it was stale. We waited another 15 minutes for our waitress to come over and when she finally did they offered us another piece of cake we said no but they did give us a different piece to take home no charge. We spent well over $100 for our meals and I’ve had better food at Texas Roadhouse. Very disappointed. Don’t think we’ll be back.

My husband and I came in for a Sunday evening date night and had a reservation, where I clearly noted a severe dairy allergy. Drinks took a bit longer than expected, but our appetizers came out and were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill with the main course. When ordering, I again emphasized no dairy, yet my steak arrived with a large dollop of butter on top, making it unsafe for me to eat. While the server apologized and offered to remake it, the replacement took quite a long time. The manager stopped by, and I shared my frustration—especially since I'd been left with only my baked potato, which I had nearly finished by the time the new steak arrived. After two bites, we requested to-go boxes. Both the server and manager were apologetic, and my steak was removed from the bill, which I appreciated. However, for a reservation-based date night and a clearly communicated food allergy, the experience fell short of what we expected. Deanna Woodall

We dined at Ruthie's for our anniversary. We dressed up but did not feel out of place. The server was attentive and the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The noise level was quiet enough that we could have a nice conversation without feeling like we had to yell.

Beautiful lil gem in Davenport. We were hoping for a fancy dinner spot with friends and this place absolutely delivered. Relaxed atmosphere with quality food for very reasonable prices. Would recommend to all!

Has been our go to place for special occasions for several years. Steaks are always terrific. We both got soup this time which was excellent. In the last two years the desert options had been limited but this year there were several great choices. Service was also excellent. Good place for a dinner for two and we appreciated being seated away from the larger and noisier groups.

Food is good but slow service.
